Specs gently took her hand and pulled her closer, not caring that they were out in public. He was tired and he wanted Tag to feel comfortable.
"Nap time?" he smiled lazily at her.

Normally, Tag would be horrified at the thought of falling asleep on the ground in Central Park. But she was quite tired, and as she cuddled into Specs, she found him to be quite comfortable.
"Maybe just a small one..." She said, her voice already growing distant.

Specs quickly checked his pockets to make sure that everything was there and that his money was hidden. After making sure, he put his arm around Tag and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Mmm, alright," he muttered, completely exhausted.

Tag woke with a start and found herself breathing heavily. She'd just had a very scary dream, and it filled her mind as she surveyed her surroundings.

Specs was contentedly sleeping, feeling surprisingly comfortable and relaxed until he felt Tag move from her place on his arm. He blinked his eyes open and turned to look at her.
"Hey, hey, you alright?" he asked, gently rubbing her arm.

Tag nodded, trying to regain her voice.
"Bad dream." She muttered, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Everythin' alright?" he asked with concern as he gently pushed back the hair from her face. "Want me to do anythin'?"

"Okay," said Specs quietly, pulling her closer for a hug. He wrapped his arms around her, wishing her nightmare away.

Tag didn't hug him back, but she appreciated the gesture.
"I'm gonna go get Pride & Prejudice from the house. I'll be right back, though. You can stay here." She said, standing up and wiping the grass from her pants.

Specs opened his mouth to say something witty but before he knew it, she was off and darted towards the lodging house. He shook his head, laughing softly. Tag was always running off before he could do anything else. He stretched lazily on the grass, closing his eyes as he waited for Tag to return.

Tag glanced back to make sure he wasn't watching her. She switched directions and headed toward the library, tears already filling her eyes.

Getting impatient, Specs figured he'd follow her to the lodging house. There's no harm in going, right? He hesitantly stood up from his comfortable position and wiped off the grass on his pants. Adjusting his cap, he made his way towards the lodging house until something caught his eye. It seemed as if Tag wasn't able to go far since Specs quickly spotted her heading towards the library.
Confused, he ran over to her and gently put his arm around her shoulder. "Hey, I thought you were going back to the lodging house?"

Tag sniffed and averted her face from his view.
"I need to be alone right now." She said, trying to hide the fact that she was on the verge of bursting into tears.
