((Night! ;D))
Specs playfully ruffled her hair, glad that they were both on the same page. He took her hand and led her around the corner to a cafe. The smell of bread and coffee were enchanting and perfect for such an early day.
"Now, go and pick anything you want," he said, squeezing her hand.

It was all Tag could do to not lick her lips and drool. She rarely had breakfast, and when she did, it was an apple that had fallen off a tree in Central Park or something.
When it was their turn to order at the cash register, Tag had decided. "I'd like some cinnamon toast and a cup of tea, please." Of course, there were many other things Tag would have liked to get, but no way was she really going to pick anything she wanted.

"Two of that, please," said Specs as he handed over his money and stepped aside for the next customer to order. He was glad to see that Tag was excited about the idea of having breakfast, something that was very rare for newsies in general.

Tag spotted an empty table for two over by the window and made her way toward it. She sat down with a small, happy sigh.
"Are you going to sell today?"

Specs nodded as he sat down. "Of course! What else would I do?" He figured he'd catch up on reading but that was definitely nothing new. "Is there anything you wanted to do today?"

"No, I was just wondering." And worrying that you might not be well enough to hawk headlines and walk all over Manhattan.
Tag shifted in her seat and cleared her throat. "I need to sell. Both editions, probably."

Specs frowned, knowing that Tag had to make up for the selling that she missed yesterday because she was with him.
"Is that 'cause of yesterday?"

Tag didn't answer. Instead she shot him a look.

"Alright, alright, I'm stopping!" said Specs as he put his hands up in the air. I really need to learn how to pick my battles...
A waitress walked towards their table, setting down their breakfast before smiling at them and walking away. "Did you... want to sell together, then? Maybe?"

"Honestly, I thought you'd never ask." Tag replied, finding it hard not to smile.
She took a bite of her toast, wanting to eat the whole thing in one bite. It was delicious!

Specs smiled brightly, taking a sip out of his tea before devouring the toast before him. For some reason, it tasted better than before. Then again, anything with Tag was pretty awesome.
"Where do you usually sell?" he asked, curious.

"Around Central Park." She informed him in-between bites. She actually had some regular customers whom she knew by name and was always happy to see.
Tag realized that Specs had never seen her in action. When she wasn't selling, Tag was this shy, quiet girl who blushed a lot. But when she was selling, she turned into the opposite.

Specs nodded, placing some more jam on his toast before taking a bite once again. He was actually quite curious to see how Tag sold her papers, wondering if she'd have the same persona as the Tag he knew.
"We'll definitely go and sell there, then," he smiled, not caring too much about his selling spot. He could always go back tomorrow.

After finishing their breakfast and getting their papes at the DC, Tag led Specs to her usual spot in Central Park.
"How about we take turns? I hawk the headline and you sell the pape. Then vice versa?" It wasn't easy to sell papes with someone unless you worked as a team, otherwise the competition could become too much.

"Got it, Captain!" said Specs, playfully saluting her as he positioned the papers in his arms. He was excited to see her in action and loved that she already took charge.
