Ershey gently played with his hair as she returned his kisses and, for once, not worrying about anything else other than Mush.

He returned to her lips, wanting to never let go, never leave this spot.
"I love you." He murmured against her lips before he actually realized what he was saying.

Ershey froze mid-kiss as she gently pulled back. "Y-you what?" she asked, wanting to make sure she had heard correctly. The last thing she needed was to hear things that didn't really happen.

What he had just said caught up to him, and Mush's eyes widened a bit.

"But I thought you said..." started Ershey, now more confused than ever. She felt her heart beat faster since she was sure she had heard what he just said. "Y'know, the other, uh, L word?"

Mush cleared his throat.
"I... Uh..." He had no idea what to say. If he admitted to saying that, she might freak out. If he admitted to not saying it, she might freak out.

Ershey bit her lip, her arms still around him as her thoughts went swimming around in her head. She never ran into this situation before. Then again, she was never this serious about a guy before. She leaned forward, kissing him gently and murmured, "I love you too."

"Of course," she said, pulling away to look him in the eye. "You didn't run away after everythin' we've been through... and that's more than I can ask from anyone. You're always there for me... and I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to you." She laughed softly, feeling quite vulnerable after being so honest.

"Why would I run away? Why wouldn't I always be there for you? Besides Race and Blink, you're the only person I got that's remotely close to family." He admitted, resting his forehead against hers.

Ershey smiled, pulling him in for a tight hug before gently kissing him. She felt as if she could soar into the heavens, finally feeling content and happier than she ever was before.
