"Nothing really." Tag shrugged, the blush beginning to fade from her cheeks.
"And you? What else have you been doing besides making friends in the library." She asked with a smirk.

"I've been wandering around my old neighborhood, actually. I've been selling there, trying to find anyone who might know where Eli is," Zippy shared, sighing."My brother, remember?"

"Oh, yes, of course." She replied, biting her lip and furrowing her brow. "Any luck?"

"Nope, nobody's heard or seen him. I think he's gone for good," She sighed, shaking her head. "let's do something fun! Let's do something totally unlike us...wanna go to the races?"

Not surprisingly, Tag had never even thought about going to the races. She didn't gamble, so the idea of going had never crossed her mind.
But, she did love horses.
"Yes, I would actually." She replied, a smile coming to her face.

Zippy raised an eyebrow. "You're kidding!" But she didn't protest and grabbed her bag. She had been dying to go to the races for a long time, just to see what they were like.
"Sheepshed, right? We should keep a lookout for Race"

Tag took one last look in the mirror, though she was still quite unsatisfied with her hair. She sighed and figured there was nothing more she could do.
"I can't wait to see all the different kinds of horses." She said excitedly as they stepped outside.

Zippy hesitated, wanting to encourage Tag to come with her but also not sure if she really wanted to expose her friend to the abuse that comes to being a race horse.
"I bet they'll be beautiful!"

"Did I ever tell you about Gypsy, my Arabian back in England?" She glanced at her friend as she realized there were still things Zippy didn't know about her.

Zippy nodded. "A little, but only in passing." She could totally see Tag having a horse, particularly one named Gypsy.
"What color was she?"

"The most stunning dark chesnut." Tag gushed, smiling widely. "And she had a white diamond on her forehead. Oh, she was an absolute beauty. Lovely to ride, as well."

Zippy watched Tag gloat about her horse. "Remind me again why your family moved here?"

Tag let out a long sigh.
"My father's job." She'd loved her father very much, but he was the kind of man who felt like he couldn't provide enough for his family, no matter how much money he made. So, when this better job came along in Manhattan, he took it.

"But it sounds to me you were all living comfortably in England," Zippy pointed out, although she knew that wouldn't help the situation at all. the girl had a HORSE for goodness sakes!

"We did. My father was just never satisfied." She looked down at her feet as they walked, her hair falling down into her face.
