"Mmhm..." Raven grumbled, she rested her head on Race's shoulder and looped her arm around his. "You're my best friend..."

"Aww, you're mine too," Race said, and snuggled up to her.
((I can just imagine what one of Spot's little birds would make of this. ^_^))

((Oh sweet jesus! It doesn't look good!))
Raven turned to face towards him and closed her eyes. She was definitely falling asleep.

Race's eyes closed too. Raven made a good pillow. "Don't use the ace. You'll need it later," he muttered, drifting into a drunken dream.

When the birds started chirping Rae opened her eyes. She groaned loudly. "Race..."

"Ginger ain't got a chance, her dam was a Shetland pony," Race mumbled, then squinted his eyes open, immediately cringed and shielded them with his hands, and noticed there was a girl next to him. He pulled away in alarm, then saw that it was just Raven. And they were in an alley. And there was sun and his head was pounding and everything hurt so much.
"How did we get here?" he whimpered, cradling his head in his arms.

"Spaghetti night round two," Raven grumbled and rubbed her own eyes as well, she rested her pounding head against the brick wall. "...or canoli's?" She looked down at the empty brown bag. "Ugh."

"We ate them all?" That the worst news yet as far as Race was concerned. He curled up in a miserable little ball. "Rae, make the sun go down."

"Though I like to pretend I am God sometimes, I can't actually perform miracles." Raven said sadly and slowly got to her feet. "UGH," she groaned loudly. "Come on..."

He got to his feet very shakily, wincing with each step as it reverberated in his head. "Brooklyn," he said, "Brooklyn's closer. I'm stealing someone's bunk for the afternoon, and I don't care what Spot says."

"Aw you forgot, Freddy's got Brooklyn now, so we'll be fine." Raven looped her arm in his. She winced at the sunlight as they slowly made their way to Brooklyn.

Race really didn't know how they made it to the lodging house, but when they finally did, he stumbled inside and made a beeline for the kitchen. Pumping a glass of water for him and one for Raven, he grabbed a half-empty bottle of aspirin and headed for the bunkroom.

Raven followed him, forcing herself up each step, groaning the whole way.

Race collapsed on what he assumed was the nearest empty bunk, only to hear a startled yelp as some little kid sprang out from under him.
"What the--" Race looked up at him, bleary-eyed. "Why the hell ain't you out selling yet?"
"I--I, uh--"
"Yeah, that's what I thought. Get outta here."
The poor kid scurried away, and Race curled up in the bunk, smirked triumphantly at Raven, and knocked back an aspirin.

"You're bad." Raven climbed up to the top bunk and yawned. Her acquired bed was empty. She curled up in a ball on her side and sighed happily.
