((HAHAHA))
Race stared at her as it dawned on him, to his great amusement, that she hadn't been conscious throughout this whole encounter. "Very bad," he informed her solemnly. "Sneaked into the boys' room, ogled poor sleeping Mush...you even gave me a hug." He smirked. "Do you do this a lot? Seems like kind of a dangerous habit."

Relieved to hear that she didn't do anything worse, Ershey sighed before turning to look at Race. "Maybe once every two to three months? It's not the best habit to have," she frowned. "Mush'll never let me sleep by myself if he knew. Wait, what are we doin' up here, anyway?

"I invited you up here for a philosophical conversation," Race confessed. "And then I was gonna grill you about yourself out of concern for my good friend Mush, but feel free to go back to bed." He smiled sleepily and blew a smoke ring.

"I can handle a philosophical conversation," smirked Ershey, leaning on the edge of the rooftop to look out at the view. "Besides, I'm already up, anyway. Fire away!"

"All right! How old are you? Where ya from? Family? Friends? Dating history? Favorite color?" He waved his cigar theatrically.

Ershey blinked. "Damn, calm down," she said, chuckling softly. "Let's take it one step at a time, alright? I'm 17, born and bred in New York... or at least I think so. Didn't really know my parents too well, got separated from my older brother years and years ago... and, no, haven't really really dated someone serious... and, uh... blue?"

He laughed. "Sorry, I thought I'd get it all over with. And just to make it fair...I'm seventeen too, grew up in Brooklyn, parents and little brother died of cholera when I was seven, you've prob'ly heard I'm going with Sapphy, and...gold."

"Oh yeah, you're the reason why I don't see Sapphy as much," she teased, smirking. "And gold, really? I'd tag you more for a... green sort of guy."

"Sorry about that. You and Mush should go out with us sometime!" he suggested. "And green is nice too. I dunno, gold is shiny." He played with his shiny gold pocket watch, which he'd grabbed off the nightstand to see what ungodly hour it was when Ershey came creeping in.

"You like shiny things, huh?" smirked Ershey, noticing his pocket watch. "Where'd you get that, anyway?"

"It was my dad's," he said. "Never useta work, but this kid in Brooklyn fixed it for me." He took a drag on his cigar. "So how'd you and Mush meet, anyway? Any good stories?"

"It's nice..." said Ershey, realizing that if she was still a pickpocket, she'd go ahead and grab it for herself. "Just make sure you don't lose it."
Upon hearing his second comment, Ershey simply shrugged and smiled. "Nothin' too fancy. I work the night shift at Tibby's and Mush bein' Mush was hungry like hell... and that's where I met him. It just so happened he didn't have money so he helped me clean up after work."

"You saw Mush eating food and still fell for him? It must've been true love," Race joked. "Just so you know, he talks about you nonstop--me and Blink have been making fun of him for ages."

"I'm sure you guys have been," smirked Ershey. "Hey, can I ask you a question?" Ershey turned to face him, wondering whether this was a good idea or not.

"Sure," he said, looking at her curiously.
