Personality: Kathryn is very entitled, but you can't really blame her when you find out who her father is. She was raised to believe she was at the top of the hierarchy, so she lives her life accordingly. Once you get past the haughty exterior, however, Kathryn is actually very friendly to any and all people. She's quite outgoing and can easily make friends with everyone - in fact, she's encouraged to ('All people are potential voters, Kitty'). When it comes to boys, Kathryn can be quite the tease. She denies and rejects advances toward her, but will flirt like crazy the next day. She is also quite reckless and wild; she rarely thinks before she acts (or speaks, for that matter). What she really needs is either a partner in crime or a firm hand to tame her wild ways.
Hobbies and interests: The usual rich people activities; needlework, reading, shopping, attending galas, dancing, flirting.
Bad habits, criminal record, etc: Besides being a bit too proud and pompous, nothing much.

Background info (please include family as well): Kathryn was born in Connecticut, but moved to New York City with her family when she was but 7 years old. Her father, Robert Van Wyck, was a budding politician at the time; he eventually climbed the ladder and is now the mayor of the city. Her mother is the typical mayor's wife. She looks good and says what she is supposed to. She is also probably the main reason why Kathryn is so rebellious. She has an older brother who is off attending Harvard University.

YES. This is the mayor's daughter. And, yes, I totally researched the actual mayor of NYC at the time - Robert A. Van Wyck. And, yes, he actually had a daughter named Kathryn. (She was born in 1892, though, so obviously I'm disregarding that. I don't care to think of Blink as a pedophile.)
