This is the last character I will ever make on this board, EVER. I swear by all the gods.
Name: Tara Fields
NN (if applicable): None
Age: 16
date and place of birth: February 3rd, 1883; Upper West Side Manhattan
Personality: Tara is from a wealthy family, but she's not your stereotypical rich girl. In fact, she's wild and wicked and a bit of a tomboy--she loves to laugh, make new friends, have adventures, and get into trouble, and her prim and proper friends really don't know what to make of her. She has a serious side, however, bordering on angsty; she tends to feel sorry for herself because she doesn't fit in, and she gets frustrated about many of the bad things that happen under the surface of the "perfect" debutante's life, which so many people don't see or pretend not to see.
Hobbies and interests: Climbing trees, catching bugs and butterflies, food fights, mud fights, telling scandalous stories, taking dares--anything you can think of that isn't decent and ladylike. Also seducing girls at her boarding school. She likes boys, too, but she doesn't get much opportunity to spend time alone with them--except for her fiance, and she doesn't like him at all. She can also play the piano very well, but she hates it with a passion, and the only dances she likes are the fast ones.
Bad habits, criminal record, etc: Tara is largely considered by most of her class to be one giant bad habit, but among newsies and street kids, she'd be considered perfectly normal...except for the part where she's into girls, but she doesn't go around telling people that. She has no criminal record.
Employment: Student
Background info (please include family as well): Tara is the daughter of prominent businessman Jonathan Fields and his wife, Henrietta. She has a pair of "perfect" older sisters, twins named Irene and Isabel, so she's considered the scandal of the family. Her home life is incredibly regulated and stifling; school isn't much better, but at least she can hang out with her friends.
Tara's dearest childhood friend was Clara Pearson, the daughter of a neighboring family who were somewhat less wealthy and prominent, but still respectable. They were very tickled by the fact that their names rhymed, and it wasn't the only thing they had in common--as they discovered around the age of ten, when they started kissing and fooling around a bit. Tara was also close, in a way, with Clara's overprotective big brother, Sebastian--they fought constantly about everything under the sun, but they both secretly kind of enjoyed it and had a lot of respect for each other. Sebastian was perfectly aware of his sister's relationship with Tara, and he kept their secret.
Tara was aware, however, that not everything was right in the Pearson household. The parents fought all the time, and when the father moved out, another man moved in who liked to knock the kids around. He once caught his stepdaughter in her room with Tara, and the ensuing beating left Tara with a measure of guilt that she'll probably carry forever. Finally, the Pearson kids ran away, and Tara never saw them again--except for one glimpse of a skittish blond girl down at the docks among the "fallen women", but Tara tries not to think about that.
Finally, Tara has been engaged from a young age to a man of her parents' choosing. She despises him, but it doesn't worry her much; she has reason to believe that the wedding will be delayed for as long as she wants it to be.
Name/NN: Emily/Flare

NOTE: If Zippy and Tag are up for it, I'd love for her to be pals with Annabelle and Kathryn. I can just see them grumbling over her antics, dragging her away from various fiascos, and never really knowing what to do with her. ;D
