"Uh Race...I think we're gonna have a cow mutiny on our hands," she nudged his shoulder as they cows continued to moo at the moon and grow more and more agitated.
She stepped back toward the railing, taking Race with her. The cows got angrier and angrier, mooing furiously as they glanced at the moon.
"I think they need to fly over the moon!"

"All of 'em?" Race sighed, frustrated. "It's gonna take forever! What if they ain't done by the time we get to Manhattan? Maybe we can send 'em all up at once..."

"I think they're gonna do it whether we want them to or not," Raven said with a furious nod.
"You got at that right," One cow turned to them and said with a glare before leaping into the air and sailing toward the moon.

Race followed its flight with his eyes and hung his head in resignation. "See, this's why I'd make a bad leader. No one listens to me. Not even cows."
He only looked up because the ferryman started playing a fiddle. Race hadn't even noticed the ferryman before. He was a cat. An orange and white tabby cat, to be exact, standing on two legs and happily fiddling away. "The world is ending, you know," he said as the first cow landed and another one went gliding into the air.

"It's okay Race, we tried our best," Raven said with resignation and patted him on the shoulder, watching the cows jump over the moon.
"Maybe if we asked them nicely to storm the Manhattan lodging house they will?"

"Maybe." Race suddenly looked inspired and pulled out his harmonica. "Maybe if I play it so loud that it drowns out the cat's fiddling!" He began to blast on the harmonica.

"DO IT!" Raven crowed and then hiked up her skirts and started to dance a jog to Race's fast beat harmonica music.
"Come on you cows! We need you to save the world!" The cows turned to face the harmonica music and the wildly dance Rae. They began swinging their tails to the beat.

Race's eyes widened as the cows began to dance. They rose to their hind feet and shimmied back and forth, udders swinging wildly. The ferryman let out an angry meow, but his fiddle music was effectively drowned out by Race's harmonica and the pounding of dozens of cow hooves as they formed a giant spiral around Raven, dancing and dancing.
"It's working!" said Race. "They're gonna help us!" Just then, the Manhattan docks came into view.

"Thank God we're almost there, I dunno how much longer I can keep this up," She said as she did a shimmy towards a cow who mooed at her and then shook its rump.
When the ferry stopped at the docks Raven sighed with relief and then wiped her brow.
"Alright! Let's go!" She cried out and leap onto the dock, herding the cows off the ferry.

Race hurried after her, prodding along the rest of the cows. He tossed a coin to the ferryman. And then he and Rae were driving their herd through the streets of Manhattan. "Faster! C'mon, faster!" Race urged the cows. "Raven, I dunno if we're gonna make it in time!"

Raven started yelling and screaming, wooping as she urged the cows on, making them run faster and faster. The lodging house was getting closer and closer.
"We're almost there!"

Race breathed a sigh of relief. They had just turned onto Duane Street--he could see the lodging house. All of a sudden, the sky began to darken. Thunder cracked, and lightning struck the ground right in front of them. The cows reared, mooing in panic, and began to scatter. Vultures circled overhead, and a swarm of locusts came buzzing out of nowhere. A nearby fountain started gushing blood.
"Rae, it's starting!" Racetrack cried, grabbing her arm. "And the cows! They're getting away! They'll never hear the harmonica now! What do we do!?"

Raven started screaming and clutched at Race's arm in panic. When she finally gained control she did the only thing she could think, scream frantic italian curses at the cows using wild hand motions.
Suddenly her voice became amplified and turned into a military march like hum.

In response to the booming hum of Rae's Italian curses, the cows immediately fell into line. Heads up, backs straight, tails sticking straight up in the air, they started an ominous military march toward the lodging house. Race watched in amazement. "Go on, lead 'em," he whispered at Raven, "I'll follow and make sure we get 'em all!" He ran to the back of the herd, urging the cows forward. The lodging house grew closer and closer, even as the lightning flashed and the vultures shrieked and the locusts began to buzz in his ears.

The cows marched along as Raven continued to bellow her curses. The wind picked up swirling piles of stinky garbage up in the air. The rats started to swam, the cockroaches scurried out from under ground, the pigeons took to the air and all simultaneously shit at once.
