"Oh my God..." Raven's eyes were wide and she shook her head. "You sure you ain't losing your damn mind?"

"I ain't even told you about the rats and the vultures and the locusts yet." Race shuddered and then raised his head hopefully at the smell of coffee. "You know those fire-and-brimstone sermons that the priests always do when they're in a bad mood? It was like all of those coming back to haunt me. I knew there was a reason I stopped going to church."

"Jesus Christ Race." Raven poured them a cup of coffee. "I wish I could have been in your head last night."

"You were!" Race reminded her. "You saved my life. The rats almost got me." He accepted the coffee with a profoundly grateful sigh. "Have I ever told you you're a really good person?"

Raven actually blushed, "No..." she took a sip of her coffee. "I'm not any better than most Race." She shrugged.

"Yeah, you are," Race said simply, taking a long gulp of coffee and rubbing his head. "What the hell was I doing last night?"

"Trying to out drink Spot." She smirked. "You won." Raven chuckled.

"Really?" Race perked up. "Is he around here somewhere in a state of total misery?"

"He's asleep in the toilet." She grinned at him.

"It was a night well spent after all," Race said cheerfully, draining his coffee mug.

"For you, I had to rub his back while he puked." She sipped her coffee as well and yawned.

"Sorry," Race said, making a face. "But I'm sure the whole thing was his idea in the first place." He set down the mug and pulled the blanket over his head to keep out the light. "You should go back to sleep. I'm kind of afraid to, though."

"Worried that the cows will become killers instead, murder you by squeezing out your eyes with their udders?" Raven smirked evilly, "I can't sleep, since I've been a carrier of Spot's spawn I never sleep past 6."

((Hahaha! A carrier of Spot's spawn. ;D))
"Thanks for that image," Race said, wincing. "With the cows, I mean, not my beautiful godchild," he added with a smirk. The coffee was starting to fight back the hangover, thank God. "I should get outta here. I've got papes to sell..." What a depressing thought. He almost wished he was pregnant and got to lounge around at home all day.

"Alright, see ya soon." Raven finished off her coffee and then set the cup in the sink.
