Lillian jumped a bit, startled at the sudden presence of someone, but she relaxed the second she realized it was Ryan.
"I'm supposed to be, but I've got writer's block," she whispered back, glancing back at him over her shoulder.

"No...my speech," she shot him a worried look. He knew she was nervous beyond anything to give this speech.

Ryan gave her a reassuring smile and put his arm around her shoulder. "You've got this," he whispered. "It's your last message to the class, so... just pour your heart out. I'm sure you'll come up with something brilliant."

Lillian let her head drop to the table with a soft 'thud.' She picked it back up and scooted closer to Ryan, cuddling up to him as much as she could. "Couldn't you just...do it for me? Give the speech? You're so much better at public speaking than I am. Everyone loves you." She was trying her best to sweet talk him into it.

Lillian closed her notebook, nodding. "That's a good idea. I don't think I could write anything with you here, anyways." She shot him a sly glance, biting her lip.
((I'm trying to think of an 1899 Tag/Specs thread we could do, but I'm having trouble! Got any ideas?))

"Yes, your intentions are good," Lillian assured him, packing her things and slinging her bookbag over her shoulders. She took his hand as they made their way out of the library. She couldn't help but notice a couple bitchy stares as they walked past a table of girls.
