"Sounds good to me," he agreed. "You pick a place yet?" The kitten hopped over to the arm of the couch to sniff Script's hand curiously.

She immediately scratched behind the kitten's ear, letting it rub against her hand and purr. "Well...maybe we could go have a picnic in the park or something. I could make sandwiches, and I have stuff for dessert. We could make an evening of it." She smiled at him, then bit her lip. "Ya know...if you wanted to..."

"Well, you know, it'll be a chore, spending the evening with a beautiful girl and a lot of delicious food, but I think I can manage it," he said with a smile.

She all but beamed at him, pleased that he openly thought she was beautiful. "Well, if it won't be an imposition...I'll meet you on the front stoop in, say, an hour?" She lifted the kitten up and set in on the floor, getting off the sofa. She paused in front of him a second, then leaned down and kissed him gingerly, at the corner of his mouth. "An hour, ok." She smiled at him again, then retreated to the kitchen.

"An hour," he agreed, smiling bemusedly after her due to the unexpected kiss. He looked down at the kitten, who looked up at him innocently. "You know you can't just move in, right?" The kitten turned tail and bounded up the stairs to the bunkrooms. Goblin shook his head and followed it up to see if he had anything slightly cleaner to wear.

((*Magic RP Time-Warp!*))
Script stood on the front stoop, a picnic basket hanging on her arm. She'd decided on wearing a skirt and blouse, and smoothed a hand down over the skirt nervously. Her hair had been uncooperative, and fell down her back in thick waves. She was tempted to just cut it all off, but worried she'd miss it too much.
She chewed on her bottom lip as she waited for Goblin. She wasn't sure just why she was so nervous.

((Haha, we needed that.))
Having showered and managed to find a shirt and pants that were relatively wrinkle-free and did not have any dirt on them, Goblin shut the cat in the bunkroom (with a bowl of chicken scraps, of course) and came out to meet Script, smiling when he saw the picnic basket. And the skirt. "I promise I won't make you climb anything this time," he said, offering his arm.

She laughed and took his arm, beginning the short walk to the park. "I appreciate that. Maybe I oughta wear skirts more often." She looked over at him, letting herself admire his profile. He had a strong jawline, which she liked. But it was always his eyes that made her insides flip.
"So, uh..how was your day?"

"Not bad. Pretty good headlines. By which I mean that horrible things keep happening in this city, which makes for juicy headlines." He wished Sapphy hadn't gone and pointed out how depressing the news was. He'd never paid much attention to it before. "Also, I swear I saw Tara trying to sell papes in the square. I really don't know how that girl's mind works...how 'bout your day?"

She laughed, amused at the idea of Tara selling. "Well, I had a shift at the library. I reshelve and sort, that sort of thing. I can't remember if I told you or not. Anyway, I had a shift at the library, came home, started baking, bonded with your sister, and sent her back to Brooklyn with a sack of goodies and a cookie recipe. And now I'm with you." She grinned over at him. "Basically, a pretty good day."
As they reached the park, she led them to a spot under a tree by the pond, setting the basket down and taking a blanket from it. She spread out the blanket and sat down, skirts fanning around her.

"You work at a library and still feel the need to raid Tag's collection? She must have some pretty rare volumes in there," he said, smirking as he sat down across from her. "And Wraith mentioned she was gonna learn to cook. I think she's fallen pretty hard for that girl," he said softly after glancing around to make sure no one was eavesdropping. "I should meet her one of these days. But seriously, Brooklyn?" He shook his head. At least it was safer than Five Points.

She blushed at the mention of the book she'd been caught reading. "Well, they're not exactly made for the uptight biddies who run the place." She opened the basket, taking out a ham sandwich and handing it to him before lifting out a small jug of lemonade. "Yeah, I've heard things about Brooklyn. But if Wraith's happy and safe, then that's all that really matters." She took out her own sandwich, taking a bite and chewing thoughtfully before saying, "It's a new love. It's nice."

"I hope so. She's gotta be better than Tara, at least..." He froze with the sandwich halfway to his mouth. "I...maybe shouldn't've said that." But at this point, Script really might as well know everything. He took a bite, and wondered how even her sandwiches tasted better than average. There had to be some magical secret.

Script arched a brow. "Tara? Really? They don't fit each other at all." Script was a firm believer that couples that worked always looked like they fit together. Her parents had been a perfect match. She took a sip of the lemonade, then offered the bottle to him. "How's your sandwich? There are brownies in the basket, whenever you're ready for one."

"They were just kids. Ten or eleven. It was a puppy-love kinda thing. I think Tara might've been hoping to win her back, but it seems like she's moved on to Jack," he said, grinning at the thought. "And the sandwich is amazing. I don't know how you do it." He accepted the lemonade and took a sip. "So, enough about Wraith. There's gotta be more to say about you. At least a good story about picking locks at boarding school or something." He was curious about her parents, but he avoided that subject out of long habit.
