[Kathryn]

Kathryn lifted her head, her eyes wide. "What? Why not?"

"My one downfall," he replied, smirking. He kissed her again, then sat up, grabbing her shirt. "Come on, it's getting cold out here."

[Moonshine]

Tyler brushed hair from her forehead. "My knee, Kat. I'm still limpin'. If I can't shake it, I'm no good to them out there, anyway."

Maggie nodded, pulling her skirt on, then reaching for her shirt, pulling it on over her head. She fussed with her hair, blushing. "I'm a mess. Your parents are gonna know..."

[Mush]

"Wait, so... You'll go home? And then... I'll still be here?" Now that she thought about it, she didn't want him to go home, either. She just wanted him to stay in the clinic until she could go home, too.

Teddy laughed, smoothing down her hair with his hand after he did his pants up. "Mags, stop worrying so much about my parents. My mom is so happy I'm home she won't notice, and my dad will probably give me a thumbs up."

Tyler sighed and kissed her forehead. "I dunno, baby. I dunno..." He kissed her mouth. "I gotta do what the Army tells me to, and that includes goin' home. But...but you're it for me, Kat. I want you to marry me." He said it before thinking. But now that it was out...well. There it was.

That made Maggie blush pinker. "Oh, geez..." She laughed a little nervously, but kissed him and took his hand. "Come on. Your mom's probably made a giant Welcome Home dinner for you."

[Kathryn]

Kathryn let out a short, nervous laugh. "What?"

"I can already taste her spaghetti and meatballs," Teddy replied, closing his eyes and inhaling sharply. He led her back to the house, thinking about what was going to happen in the upcoming three weeks.

[Moonshine]

Tyler swallowed roughly, then cleared his throat. He set his jaw, looking at her. "Ya heard me. I want you to marry me."

Maggie bit her lip, trapped in her own thoughts, and she gave his hand a squeeze, just to reassure herself he was still there. When they got into the house, they were ushered into the dining room, and she sat beside him, putting her hand on his thigh under the table.

[Mush]

"But...but where? When? How?" Kathryn searched his eyes, making sure he was serious, though she knew he was.

As he suspected, his parents didn't mention anything about Teddy's relationship with Maggie. They asked her questions about herself, but they were either clueless or just didn't care. After dinner, they played a rousing game of Pictionary. Teddy was ecstatic to finally have a partner.

Tyler smiled at her, a little crookedly. "We can get the Chaplain to do it. And if we're married, it means that they have to either keep us together, or at least tell us where the other is all the time."

Maggie had enjoyed dinner, and she was better at Pictionary than she thought she'd be. Currently, she and Teddy were winning. As she enjoyed the game, she looked at the family around her. His parents were loving, his sisters were adorable...and she knew she wanted to be a part of it all.

[Kathryn]

"...When?" Kathryn didn't ask this in same way she previously had. Now, when she asked the question, her tone asked the hidden question 'when's the soonest it can happen?'

After his sisters and parents declared it was time for bed, Teddy plopped down on the couch next to Maggie, putting an around her shoulders. "They better not have let me win just 'cause I haven't been home for a while."

[Moonshine]

Tyler kissed her. "I'll talk to the Chaplain tomorrow. I think we gotta fill out paperwork." Ah, the bureaucracy of the US Military. But it didn't matter. He'd make it happen no matter what they made him do.

Maggie laughed softly, tucking her legs up under her. "And so what if they did. It's sweet." She turned her face up to his, smiling. He hand lifted to brush along his cheek. "They're wonderful, Teddy. Your family."

[Mush]

"Okay," Kathryn replied, breathless. She nodded, a smile coming to her face. "Okay, let's do it. I'll marry you, yes." Her thoughts were all sorts of discombobulated, but not a one contained any doubt. She kissed him hard, her eyes squeezed shut.

Teddy leaned his cheek into her palm, kissing her thumb. "Yeah, they are. And if you thought Mama's spaghetti and meatballs was good, boy are you in for a treat on Thanksgiving. Oh, we'll have to go out shopping for stuff tomorrow, by the way. We're last minute like that."

Tyler laughed and tightened his arms around her, laying her on her back. "I love you, Kat. I'll take care of you, I promise."

Maggie smiled at him. "We? You sure your mom'll want us there? She seems the type to kick people out until she's done working her magic."

[Kathryn]

Kathryn set her hand on his cheek, stroking his skin with her thumb. "I'll hold you to that, Private," she said softly, gazing into his eyes.

"Oh, well, by 'we' I meant me, you, Sally, and Di. She always sends us out shopping since she does all the cooking. Then my dad does the cleaning. So, really, we got the best job. Plus, the girls always sucker me into gettin' em all sorts of things. Candy, cokes, make-up they don't need..."

[Moonshine]

Tyler brushed his hand along her collar bone. His eyes locked on hers as his fingers moved to the buttons of her blouse. "God, yer pretty..."

Maggie grinned. "You're a pretty good brother, Teddy." She leaned towards him, kissing him. She let her lips linger over his, voice soft. "You're a pretty good a lot of things..."

[Mush]

Kathryn blushed a bit, biting back a smile. "Thank you," she whispered, sliding one arm around his waist. Her hand travelled down past his hips to rest on his (really flipping nice) butt, squeezing it a bit.

"Like what?" he asked, his voice matching hers in volume. He twisted a strand of her hair around his finger, smiling lazily down at her.
