Kathryn's eyes widened. "Uh..." But before she could say 'no,' Raven had handed the squirming, but happy, infant into her lap. She put her hands around his middle, not sure what to do with him...

"You're fine," Raven said with a laugh. Sean looked up at Kathryn and opened and closed his hand at her, his way of saying hello. He smiled and drooled like he always did.

"Hi..." Kathryn replied, her voice about two octaves higher than it usual was; a sure sign she was uncomfortable and nervous. She took a napkin from the tea tray Raven had brought up earlier and wiped his mouth.

Sean squealed and tried to take the napkin from her.
Raven bit her lip, trying not to laugh as she watched Kathryn. She could tell how uncomfortable she was. "When I first had him I was terrified I was gonna break him."

"How much smaller was he?" Kathryn inquired, keeping her eyes fixed on Sean. She waved the napkin in front of his face, pulling it away each time he grabbed at it.

"So tiny and he used to just curl up in my arms." Raven held out her hands for how big he was, "Probably half the size he is now." She smiled.

Kathryn's eyes widened as she looked back and forth between Raven's size estimation and the baby in her lap now. "But he's already so small!"

"I know," Raven smiled. "He's just tiny for his age, but he'll be fine. His father was like that too...still is. We're both ridiculously short."

Kathryn watched the little boy play with the napkin she'd finally let him have. He looked up at her and smiled; she couldn't help but smile back. "He's so adorable," she said before tickling his tummy.

Sean giggled with delight, and failed at grabbing his belly.
"I know, he's the cutest baby in the whole world." Raven said, "I'm definitely saying that because I gave birth to him. There might be a cuter baby out there, but I'll never think it." She smiled.

Sean was laughing hysterically at whatever Kathryn was doing.
Raven laughed, "He looks like his father, almost exactly." She said and smiled sadly.

Kathryn studied her, then Sean, then shook her head a bit. "No, I see a lot of you in there. Same nose and mouth..."

"And ears! Thank God for my ears. Spot's ears stick out like this," Raven held her palms out by her ears and started to laugh, "it's a little ridiculous. When I used to get mad at him I'd yank them."
