She sucked in her breath as she suddenly found herself twirled right up against him. And finally, finally admitted something to herself that she had refused to acknowledge since that very first night when they got drunk and danced and had to be carried home.
Goddamn everything all to hell. She blushed furiously and avoided his eyes.

It was amazing how they both weren't talking. Of all the things he wanted to say, he didn't have the courage to pull through and say it to her face. He glanced over at her and tried his best not to smile as he thought he saw a blush creep on Macbeth's face.

Out of the corner of her eye, Macbeth thought she caught a hint of amusement in his face. And of course, nothing was more guaranteed to help her pull herself together. She clenched her jaw, looked up at him defiantly, and blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "D'you think I should cut my hair?"

Risk stared at her.
"Uh... your hair?" he finally said after a couple of seconds. It took him a while to realize what she'd done now that she was standing apart from him.

"Mmm-hmm. It used to be short. Always felt kinda weird this way." If she talked, it was easier not to concentrate on the fact that they were maintaining physical contact.
