Maggie frowned down into her beer, taking another drink. She was already haunted. "Maybe I wanna get plastered."

"We'll get there eventually, don't worry," he assured her, nudging her softly with his elbow. He really wanted to know why she wanted to get drunk, though. She was pretty gorgeous, and he was also really nosy.

She sent him a weak smirk. "I'm holding you to that. I'm putting you in charge." She took another long drink of her beer, surprisingly liking the taste.

"Yes, ma'am," he replied, chuckling, watching her drink.

It didn't take her long to finish. "I think I'm ready for number two." She looked at him, blinking innocently, fully expecting him to pay for her.

Thankfully, he'd had an amazing day at Sheepshead last week. He nodded to the bartender who brought over two more beers for them. He finished up and started on his second.

She followed suit, sipping. "So, why do they call you Skittery, anyway?"

"When I first got to the House, I was just that. Skittery. Would barely let anyone come near me. Don't really know what I was so scared of." He looked over at her, a questioning look in his eyes. "Why do they call you Script?"

She tilted her head at him, surprised that a guy like him would ever be scared of anything. "I have really amazing hand-writing." She scrunched her nose. Her name was so boring. Like the rest of her.

He couldn't stop a laugh from escaping. "Seriously? Let's see it, then," he said, grabbing a random piece of paper from behind the bar. He looked around for a pencil, then remembered he had one tucked behind his ear. He retrieved it, handing it to her and waiting.

She blinked at him, then smirked. She took hold of the pencil and signed her name on the paper, in neat, perfect cursive -- Magdalen Mary Martin.

He stared at the writing for a second, blinking, before looking up at her. "Where the hell did you learn to do that?"

She smirked, pleased with herself. "That, my dear, is the product of twelve years of Catholic school." She took a healthy swig of her beer.

"Well, no wonder everyone see you as the nice girl," he smirked, leaning against the bar as he looked over at her. "Pretty hard to break that Catholic school girl image, I'm sure."

She sighed a bit at that. "You have no idea. I practically have 'push over' tattooed on my forehead."
