Cav ordered him another before he could think twice about it. If anyone needed to get sloppy drunk it was Goblin.

"Yeah? So why don't you go pick up some girl?" He glanced around the theater, which had no shortage of women. "It'd help get your mind off Footsteps, right?" He sipped at the new drink, feeling buzzed and tired and...yep, still depressed.

Next time everything goes wrong and people get hurt, it's gonna be someone else's fault. Preferably someone who doesn't care." And he gave up on sipping and went back to swigging.

"That'd be quite a contest," he said bitterly, and then noticed Cav had stopped drinking. Hey, his powers of observation hadn't completely gone to hell. "So how 'bout you? What messed you up?" He'd get drunk all right, but he wasn't about to sit here and talk about himself. That was absolutely guaranteed to make him more depressed.

((Also! Read the new Skittery/Script thread, like the third or fourth Skittery post, because Skitts is all kinds of passive-aggressive against Goblin and I LOVE IT!))

((Oh gosh, will do. Skitts hates Goblin SO MUCH, but if he ever confronted him, Goblin would just be like, "...yeah. You're right." It'd be such a sad one-sided fight.))

He glanced at him, the corner of his mouth twitching downwards. "Look, I been on my own since I was ten. I learned pretty quick the more you care, the more you get hurt. No one's lookin' out for me, so why should I look out for anybody else?"
((Oh, god, can you IMAGINE what the bunkroom must feel like when the guys are ribbing Skittery about Script and Goblin is RIGHT THERE??))
