Before Rose could dissent, Billy came barreling in, Wilson at his feet. They both shook the snow off them, and Rose wasn't even mad about the mess because it was so adorable.
((this morning my mom said "I saw that about Newsies!" and when I told her I am soooo going, she was like "I could go too!" because she's retiring in January. So you might get to meet my mama! Hahaha))

Tyler hoisted himself up. "Come on, Billy, go in the kitchen and hang yer coat up, yer gettin' snow all over mama's nice clean livin' room."
((Haha, aw, yay!!))

December flew by (Billy exclaimed it was the best Christmas ever), and so did January. By mid-February, Rose was practically dying. But thankfully, on the 14th, the baby decided to come. The doctor was with her in the bedroom, while she had requested Tyler stay with Billy downstairs.

Tyler was a nevous mess, limping back and forth across the living room, pacing. The only reason he wasn't more openly freaking out was because he didn't want to scare Billy.

After a few hours and a lot of screaming, the doctor came downstairs and approached Tyler. "You can come see your new baby boy," he said, with kind of an odd look on his face. Not bad or worrisome, just odd.

For a split second, Tyler was confused. "Wait...boy??" He blinked at the doctor a moment, then swallowed roughly before hurrying up the stairs, two at a time. He burst through the bedroom door. "Rosie?"

Rose was tired, but wide awake as she lay on the bed, holding their new baby, wrapped in a blanket, in her arms.

He limped over to her, sitting beside her on the bed. "Oh, Sugar...ya did good." He kissed her temple, nuzzling her gently. "Ya had me scared with all that screamin'."

"Eh, it was nothing," she replied with a half shrug. Then she looked down at the baby in her arms and whispered, "Hey, Savannah, do you think Daddy fell for it?"

He froze, blinking, mouth open. "Fell for..." everything clicked into place. "Rose! It ain't a boy!"

She let out a pretty loud laugh then bent to rub Savannah's nose with hers. "He did! Who knew daddy was so gullible?"
((I gotta drive back now! I was just at Target lol))

Tyler stared at her another moment, then broke into a grin, kissing her cheek loudly. "Jesus Christ, I love you, Rosie." He bent down to finally get a good look at the baby, and he was in awe. "My pretty Savannah..." he brushed his fingers gently over her head.
((Haha no problem! I have to drive to work, so I'll be back in like an hour))

Rose was just laughing to herself, amused that the doctor actually went along with her trick. Then she watched Tyler silently, waiting for him to cry.
((had to stop for gas, blahhh. But I'm almost home!))

((Haha, no problem, I'm at school now, so I'm online))
He was already sniffling, touching Savannah's pink-peach skin and her feather-soft blonde hair. "We got a girl, Rosie...I got a daughter..." He sniffed again, blinking, making a few tears -- very manly, masculine tears -- fall.

She bit her lip to suppress a smile. Then she leaned over to kiss his salty cheek before pressing her forehead against his temple.
