She blushed, glad they were talking on the phone and not video chatting. "Thanks, I do really try hard to put on a good show for my fans. It's the least I can do, y'know?" No, he didn't know, but whatever.

He knew he was supposed to be taking her out tomorrow, but he didn't know if he could wait that long. She sounded sexy over the phone and it made him...itchy. "So, uh...I guess yer prob'ly too tired to go out tonight, huh. There's this diner at the county line that's 24-hours. Got the best root beer floats..."

"Tonight?" she asked chuckling. "It's almost one o'clock in the morning! ...How long would it take you to get to my hotel?"

He grinned. "There's no traffic on the highway. I could be there in thirty minutes, max."

"I'll be waiting in the lobby. I'm the girl with the crazy, curly blonde hair."

"Right, the hot one. Got it." Before she could respond to that, he hung up. Vaulting out of bed, he got ready in record time and headed to his truck.

Ross sprang out of bed the second he hung up and went to her suitcase. She picked out some skinny jeans, a tank top, and a grandpa cardigan, complete with elbow patches. Then she slipped on her Oxford shoes and went into the bathroom to put on some light make-up. After about 20 minutes, she was down in the lobby, sitting in an over-stuffed armchair.

Tyler took a second before walking into the hotel to calm himself down. He couldn't very well run in there like a crazy man. He smoothed his palms over the thighs of his faded jeans and straightened out his tshirt. He licked his lips, then sauntered through the door into the lobby.
He found her immediately, and he flashed her a grin. God, she was adorable.

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him and when he grinned at her like that. It had been two years of dating Hollywood guys. It was like a breath of fresh air to see Tyler, a good ole county boy. She stood up and walked the rest of the way to meet him. It took everything in her power not to throw her arms around his neck. She barely knew the guy, after all. "Hey, I'm staring."

He laughed. "Don't worry, so am I." He lifted a hand to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear, just so he had an excuse to touch her. "Ya look real pretty, Rosie."

((LOL I meant to put starving hahaha. Oh well. She was staring at him, too))
She blushed, unable to meet his eyes for a few seconds. Then she looked up into those deep blue eyes. "Shall we go?"

((Haha, I thought she was just being cute and self-deprecating))
He nodded and took her hand, leading her to his truck. He opened the door for her and helped her in, then got in and drove down the highway. The radio was on the country station on low volume, and he held her hand as he drove. "You'll like this place. Everything tastes even better at 2 in the mornin'."

((yeah, we'll just go with that )) "Oh, does it? Is there something about 2 am in general, or is it just this place?" she asked, a slight smirk pulling at her lips. She put their hands in her lap and she started tracing over his fingers with her free hand.

He felt his insides tighten and flip as she touched his fingers, but he only smiled over at her, refusing to allow himself to look like a spaz. "Prob'ly 2 am in general." He drove down the highway and out of the city, more into his neck of the woods. He finally pulled into the lot of a little roadside diner and parked.

Of course the first thing she noticed was that there were only two other cars in the parking lot. Maybe they would get to have a quiet, normal date after all. "Ooh, does this place have a juke box?" she asked excitedly as she walked around to the front of the truck to meet him.
