Background info (please include family as well): Sammie grew up in the orphanage. She never knew her parents or any form of blood family. Instead of waiting for a family to choose her, she simply ran away and started odd jobs for money -- from working at the factory, washing dishes to stealing, dealing and even prostituting. It was when she ended up in the Refuge for getting into a fight that she met Eastman and persuaded his boys to take her into the gang instead of selling her off.
