Ryan impatiently knocked on Maggie's door as he stood outside, already smelling the turkey in the oven, possibly stuffing and pumpkin pie. He loved Thanksgiving and wanted this year to be a special once, especially since he was with Maggie. He had a lot to be thankful for and she was definitely at the top of the list.
--
Adri sighed as she did a final check in the mirror and put on her coat. Thanksgiving wasn't her favorite holiday. The fact that she lived away from her family caused her to scramble for places to go to during this American holiday. Plus, it irked her that she wasn't even American to begin with. Grabbing her purse and her keys, she turned off the lights and headed outside.
((Not sure if you wanted to do a party with both couples or have them do their own thing!))

((We can start them off together, if you want. They can all go to Maggie's house for a while )) Maggie had perhaps gone a little overboard this year, but she wanted it to be perfect. It was her first Thanksgiving with Ryan, after all, and Tyler and Adri would be joining them, since they were both too far from family to travel on tight budgets. When she heard the knock, she wiped her hands on the apron she had put on over her dress and went to answer it, beaming when she saw who it was. "Hey!" -- Tyler was outside waiting for her, leaning against his truck. "Hey, Adri, ready?" He'd offered to drive to Maggie's house, since both he and Adri still lived in the same building anyway. He opened the door for her, before getting in, then glanced over at her, arching a brow as he drove across town. "You okay? What's with the frown?"

((Okay!))
"Hi there," said Ryan brightly with a lopsided smile as he kissed her on the cheek. "Been hard at work, hm?" He smirked as he looked behind her, the kitchen in complete disarray. "Need help? With cleaning, of course -- I know how you get with your cooking."
--
"I'm just homesick, that's all," she answered, giving him a reassuring smile. She didn't even notice she was frowning until he'd pointed it out. "Thanksgiving reminds me of family... and I haven't seen them in a while..." She shrugged, glancing over at him.

Maggie blushed, ushering him in, heading back into the kitchen. "Well, I haven't set the table yet. I was in the middle of basting." The counter tops and island were covered in casserole dishes, bowls and plates -- everything from mashed potatoes, to green beans, to 3 different kinds of stuffing. And of course there were the desserts.
--
He nodded and reached his hand over to give her knee a friendly squeeze. "I get it. Bein' away from home's always harder around the holidays." He sent her a smile as he pulled into Maggie's neighborhood. "But, hey, ya got us at least."

Ryan gaped once he walked in and saw what the kitchen really looked like. He'd only gotten a glimpse from outside but now that he was in front of it all... "Uh, Mags, how many people did you invite over again?"
--
"I know, thanks for being here," she smiled, reaching over to place her hand over his. "You eat all day? I'm sure Maggie has a feast waiting for us at her place."

Maggie was already bending over into the oven, basting the turkey still cooking. "Um...four? I mean, four including me..." She stood up, closing the oven, then gave him a sheepish look. "Is it too much?"
--
Tyler snorted. "Knowin' Maggie, she's got enough to feed an army for a week." He parked the truck, coming around to open her door for her. "I had toast this mornin', but nothin' other than that. I figured I'd need room."

"You could feed a little town with this if you wanted to," smirked Ryan as he began setting the table. "It's always better to have more, anyway." He shook his head at her, making a quick detour to kiss her on the cheek before grabbing the utensils.
--
"Me too," chuckled Adri, stepping out of the truck before reaching to hold Tyler's hand. "I figured Maggie was going to cook like crazy for a holiday, especially this one."

She laughed, blushing. "Well, it's our first Thanksgiving together, Ryan. We've been together nearly 8 months, and I wanted it to be special."
--
Tyler quirked a brow when she took his hand, but only gave it a squeeze and smiled. "Don't ya remember the Christmas pot-luck last year? She showed up with like five things!"

"I know, I know, and it will be. I'm just teasing," he grinned, looking over at her. "Alright, now, do you have a plan for this or are we just going to put it all on the table?" He knew Maggie well enough to make sure to ask first, especially when it came to her food.
--
"That's why I didn't even bother bringing anything to this dinner," laughed Adri, shaking her head. It was then that she realized that she reached for his hand. She looked down awkwardly, amazed at how she held his hand like it was nothing.
((Are they together? Haha))

"Well, I thought appetizers and rolls and stuff could on the table, and then we can do the rest buffet style." She blinked at all the food in the kitchen. "It just occurred to me that I either need to make less food or get a bigger dining room table." -- ((Haha, I don't think so. Maybe just good friends? And Tyler's totally secretly crushing on her ) Tyler didn't let go of her hand until they reached Maggie's front door and knocked, but he did let it go a little reluctantly.

"I think you need a bigger dining room table," teased Ryan as he placed the appetizers on the table. Once he heard the knock on the door he smirked and wiped his hands at a nearby dishtowel. "Adri and Tyler are here! Ready?"
---
Adri cleared her throat awkwardly once they reached Maggie's front door. She'd always thought Tyler was a good guy but hadn't entertained the thought until Ryan pestered her about it yesterday night.

Maggie hurriedly finished setting up, then went to the door to answer it. "Hi! Come in, guys! Happy Thanksgiving!" She was completely in her element -- she was practically born to play the hostess.
--
Funny thing was, Ryan had had that same conversation with Tyler only a couple of days ago. Tyler chalked it up to the fact that Ryan was in a happy relationship, and so wanted all of his friends to be in one two. But him and Adri were just good friends. Totally.
Tyler smirked as they walked into the house, seeing all the food on the table, and more in the kitchen. "You expectin' a football team or somethin' Maggie?"

"Exactly what I said," chuckled Ryan, giving Adri a hug before smirking over at Tyler. "There's definitely more than enough for everyone."
--
"Mags, you could've asked me to help!" laughed Adri, linking arms with her friend as she followed her into the dining room. "You did this all by yourself?"

She blushed, squeezing Adri's arms. "It really wasn't that hard. I mean, I've been cooking all day, but I always cook all day." She smiled at everybody, sniffling a little. She was always sentimental at the holidays. "I'm really glad you guys are here."
--
Tyler grinned. "Aw, come on Maggie, don't cry. Where else would we go, huh?" He walked over and planted a loud kiss on Maggie's forehead, then casually put a hand against the small of Adri's back. "Let's eat!"

"Yes," nodded Ryan, smiling over at Maggie and stealing her from Adri. He quickly kissed her on the cheek and grinned. "And I'm sure each and every thing you made tastes great. Now, you get to relax and watch people eat it."
--
Adri felt her cheeks flush once she realized where Tyler's hand was. She smiled at him shyly and took a seat at the dinner table. "I think Ryan should do the honors of cutting the turkey," she smirked, looking over at him.
