Leo stared at his reflection in the mirror, the side of his face all bruised up. Leo had never gotten this seriously beaten up before- he usually stayed away from this sort of trouble.
And with good reason. He had no idea how much a punch in the face could hurt. Sighing, Leo washed his hands and face, wondering if scrubbing some of the dirt off would make his eye less purple.

Specs walked into the washroom mindlessly, looking for his toothbrush so he could get ready for the day. He squinted when he saw a somewhat familiar figure by the mirror. Putting on his glasses, his eyes widened and muttered, "Hey, you okay?"

Leo groaned and glanced over, recognizing Specs with his good eye. "Oh, heya Specs. Bruised and sorta defeated, but other than that I'm fine."

"Geez, what happened to you?" he muttered as he reached for his toothbrush. He actually hadn't seen Leo in a while... not after the whole thing with Tag. He figured they were both over that. Hopefully.

"A couple of guys jumped me in the park. For no reason." He shook his head, muttering to himself in Spanish. "I didn't do anything. They just kept telling me to go back to Mexico."

Specs frowned, stopping mid-brush. "They newsies?" If they were, the house would be on them like nothing and it'd be covered.

"I just, you know, figured that was why you were offering. I know you are a nice guy but look at my face," Leo scratched the back of his head, feeling awkward.
Uh oh. It wasn't in Leo's nature to say the wrong thing- he was always very polite.
