"You know, we could ask Spot, he'd probably be able to get some of the Brooky's involved." Leave it to Jack to mention someone that everyone pretty much hated right now.

Race glowered at him. "Here's a better idea. Let's jump Spot for practice."

Jack glared back at Racetrack. "Why don't you talk to Rae about jumping Spot for practice. They looked pretty cozy the other night."

"Spot Conlon? The leader of Brooklyn?" Leo asked, figuring it was probably a bad idea to jump the boy for practice. He really hated all this violence.

"Former leader," Race grumbled, but he gave up on glaring at Jack. "Forget about Spot. It's Manhattan business anyway. And I know someone who can prob'ly track these guys down...I'm gonna go find her." And he left the room to track down Wraith, plus any more guys he happened to run into on the way.

"I don't think I should have let him go unsupervised..."Jack remarked.

"Should I go with him?" Leo asked, unsure. Racetrack was a fiery little fellow, but Leo always did admire that.

"Nah, let him blow off some steam." Jack sighed heavily.

Race returned after a while, looking like his normal even-tempered self again. "Wraith says she only needs a day or so to track 'em down. Meet back here this time tomorrow?" he suggested. "Couldn't find any'a the other guys, though. Might end up being two to one." Which, honestly, were still better odds than they'd had against the scabs during the strike. Before Brooklyn showed up, anyway.

"You know, some of the girls living here really scare the shit outta me," Jack said.
