Jimmy told her she ought to go back to Manhattan and meet Rae. He said not to worry about Eastman sending lackeys back there -- that he'd take care of it.
She knew what that meant, but she didn't mind. She wanted them all dead as much as anybody did.
When she walked into the House, she glanced around, peeking into the parlor.

Sean was of course not being a very good baby at that moment, crying in Rae's arms. She was pacing the floor and looked like a stressed out hot mess.
"Come on Sean, what's wrong?" She asked him for the thousandth time. "Aww, please stop crying," she pleaded and yet he continued howling in her arms.

Gypsy stopped in the doorway, eyes widening. Oh, Jesus. No way. No way could she do this. The prospect of looking the way Rae looked now terrified the crap out of her.

Raven audibly groaned and then took a deep breath. "Okay okay...are you hungry? Impossible, you just ate..." She was talking to herself. She bounced Sean while swaying back and forth and soon enough he started to quiet down and then he was giggling.
"Aha! You like that?" She said with a smile and kept it going. That's when she noticed some girl staring at her in the doorway.
"Uh...can I help you?"

Gypsy kept staring at her. "I think I might be beyond help..." She shook herself out of it, coming into the room. "I'm Gypsy Demail. Jimmy said Tristan was gonna tell you I was comin'..."

"Oh! Yeah, hey," Raven smiled at her. Rae always looked so different when she smiled. She was one of those people that a smile lit up her entire face. Sean squealed and waved his arms around.
"This is Sean," She said, she had him held out so he could see everything around him, one arm held protectively around his waist the other hand under his bottom. "My cranky baby boy. He's been a wreck today."

She gulped, looking at Sean like he might explode at any moment. "Did--did Tristan tell you why I was comin'?"

"Yeah." Raven said with a nod and then shrugged. "It ain't gonna be easy and hopefully he sticks around to help you, but you'll be fine." She waved it off with one hand and Sean tried to grab it. Raven smiled down at him.
"Wanna hold him? He don't bite and if he did he's only got one tooth so it won't hurt that bad," she smirked.

She gulped, but nodded, moving closer to take Sean. "Jimmy says he's gonna stay. I told him I'd--I'd, ya know...get rid of it...but he said not to."

"Ain't that noble of him." Raven said with a bit of an edge to her voice, "excuse me if I don't really believe the promises of men. Mine was supposed to marry me," She said and then stepped closer to Gypsy. She positioned Sean with his back against Gypsy's chest.
"He likes to be held out like that," she explained, "keep a good grip on him cause he starts squirming around sometimes." Sean smiled lazily at his mom and she smiled back.
"I know, you can actually see me right Sean?" Sean gurgled and shoved a hand in his mouth.

Gypsy held onto Sean, looking a little nervous. She was pretty sure you couldn't actually break a baby, but just in case, she moved to sit on the couch, setting him on her lap. "Jimmy told me about Spot Conlon. Sorry."

Raven shrugged, "Yeah well, he's always been an asshole. I shoulda known better."
Sean sort of leaned back, flopping against Gypsy's arm to get a good look at whoever this person was that was holding him. He sure as hell knew it wasn't his mother.
"You're fine by the way, he's just curious." She said and sat down next to her.

"Jimmy's the only person who's ever cared about me. If he left...well, shit, I'd be screwed." Gypsy looked down at Sean. She lifted a finger to touch his cheek gently. "He's awful soft."

"Ain't he?" Raven said with a smile, she looked at Sean who had rested his head against Gypsy's chest. "He likes that...petting him I guess? I dunno why. I snuggle him all the time." She admitted with a sheepish grin.
"You'd be surprised how resilient you can be...I sort of just...rallied and took care of him." She shrugged.

She let Sean's little hand wrap around her finger. He was so little and chubby and cute...she smiled a little to herself, thinking about how pretty her and Jimmy's would be.
"I'm kinda scared. Of--of, ya know...bein' pregnant...givin' birth..."
