Jimmy motioned for them to enter the parlor.

The afternoon was spent playing many games, the parlor constantly filled with laughter, jeers, and triumphant cries. By the evening, the servants had cleared the paths of any snow outside. Which meant their guests were free to leave.

Rae hugged Jimmy and Rose goodbye and then took Mr. Conlon's offered hand. She gave Rose a look and then smiled.

Rose let out a dramatic sigh, trying desperately to hide her smirk. "If we must," she replied, snaking her arms around his neck. They spent the next few days (and nights) practicing, but Rose couldn't hide her anxiety to hear from Raven.

Raven decided to visit her new found friend. She knocked happily on the front door and Edwin stared at her in alarm as she came strolling into the house. "Good morning!" She chirped.

Rose and Jimmy had actually just finished a practice session, but Rose perked up when she heard someone enter the house. "Who do you suppose that is? I bet it's Raven!" she said, answering her own question before Jimmy even had a chance to speculate. She scrambled out of bed and threw on her dressing gown, tying the sash tightly around her waist before wrenching the bedroom door open and heading to the stairs.
