Rose laughed out loud, rolling her eyes in amusement. "She does look happy, doesn't she?"

"the happiest I've seen her in years," he admitted and kissed rose's cheek.
Rae came over to them then, smiling brightly. "I thought you would be pleased," she said coyly. "isn't it lovely?" she held out her hand to show Rose her ring. It was a square ruby encased with diamonds on a thin gold band.
"that is beautiful," Jimmy said to her. He shook hands with Mr. Conlon and said, "congratulations."

Rose's eyes bulged a little as she grabbed Raven's hand and brought it closer to her face. "That is the most gorgeous ring I've ever seen..." she said quietly.
