"Well, she wasn't exactly well-liked," he explained, feeling the need to defend Script, Cav, and Wraith for failing to even mention her. "And for good reason. Lots of good reasons." Dear God, I hated her more than anyone...but still... "Doesn't stop me from missing her, or wishing it hadn't happened that way."

Like the people you shot at? he almost said, but he didn't really want to fight with her. Especially since she could probably beat him up right now. "Yeah, well, we're kind of in the same boat there. Maybe we should just get outta here," he suggested half-seriously. Or maybe more than half. "Move someplace new. What do you think of Brooklyn?" It seemed like Sammie's kind of place.

"About wanting to get out of here?" He adjusted his position slightly and winced. "Very." Maybe he'd be a coward for running away--especially for leaving Script the way she was. But he honestly didn't understand what she wanted from him at this point, and he had a feeling that whatever it was, it was something he didn't have to give. And the thought of staying here and watching her have Skittery's baby...yes, he decided, the suggestion had indeed been serious.

She shrugged, actually quite ready for a change. Maybe another borough in New York might work out better than Five Points. "I'm ready if you are."

"They've got their own place now, apparently. They just better not hear about you, or we'll both be in trouble," he muttered. He still wasn't sure exactly what he was supposed to have done with Sammie, but he was pretty sure moving to Brooklyn with her hadn't been on the agenda.

He didn't really want to think about last night, but a few flashes came back to him. "I remember parts of the cab ride, I think...and we got home, and Cav was here...I think I blacked out for good around the time Maggie walked in." Though considering what she told him when he woke up, that was probably a mercy. He gave Sammie a thoughtful look. "How come you didn't just leave me there, anyway?"
((ME TOO! Beth just invited innocent little Svetlana to visit them sometime, so that could be fun. ^_^ Ooh, and whatever happened to Ershey's birthday thread?))
