"Hello," Goblin said nonchalantly, reading a book and munching on a sandwich that he'd somehow obtained. "I'm still alive. Good headlines?"

"Did she?" He smiled a bit skeptically at the two of them. "Somehow, I can't picture you using Clara's method."
"She adapted," Wraith said proudly. "She's got her own style."
"Does this mean you're really turning respectable?" Goblin asked in some surprise. He'd known Sammie was thinking of trying out the newsgirl thing--he just hadn't expected her to do it with such enthusiasm.

Sammie shrugged, sitting on a nearby cot. "Maybe. I just yell all the time. It's not that bad, actually," she answered, secretly wondering what she could do to help him feel better. "Where'd the sandwich come from?"

"I have my ways," he said mysteriously. He'd actually managed to fix it himself, one-handed, but God forbid he let Clara know that he'd wandered as far as the kitchen.

Sammie nodded, looking at Clara then back to Sebastian awkwardly. It was moments like these when she wished she had something optimistic or exciting to say.
