Character Updates!

Hey, guys!

So I saw a couple people doing this on another thread, but I thought actually using the storage closet, and everybody updating what's going on with their characters would be a good idea.

Here are mine!

Script: Goblin's exgirlfriend, currently dating Skittery. She was a part of Goblin's Refuge plot, which culminated in her being kidnapped, sold to a brothel and raped by the now-dead Monk Eastman. She freaked out over it and broke up with Goblin...but is still in love with him, despite being more or less happy with Skittery. Oh, and she's pregnant with Skittery's baby and has only told a couple of people. Yikes.

Moonshine: After flirting his way through most of the House, his heart belongs to Rose. But Rose has issues of her own, and he's trying to help her through them. He's ALWAYS up for a good time of drinking, and he's super fun.

Gypsy: She's spent the last four years in the Refuge, and is basically a lying, self-serving bitch to everybody...except Jimmy Connelly, who rescued her from Monk Eastman. She's having his baby, he proposed, and they're planning on getting married on New Year's Eve. I want a wedding thread! Especially since she's starting to realize that, after the death of Riddle, she has absolutely zero friends.

Cavalier: Goblin's best friend. He's kind of a brooder and keeps to himself. He pays attention to everything as gives all his gossip to Goblin. He's been waiting patiently for Footsteps to get out of the Refuge, and now that she's free, I'm SO EXCITED to see what happens between them!

Trixie: My newest character. She was a taxi dancer at a dance hall. And did more than that occasionally for extra cash... She's not proud of that fact, and so left the business to free herself for a while. She's having an interesting relationship with Eli, but she's a total commitment-phobe and may stray if she feels herself getting too close...which she is. She's a bit of a ditz, and can't read, but she means well and is an awful lot of fun.

David: How could I forget David?!? Davey is going to school, but ditches fairly often because he's bored out of his mind. He was told he could graduate early, but he turned down early admittance to Darmouth so he could stay in New York with his new girlfriend Zippy. He's madly in love with her and convinced they're going to get married, make baby's and live happily ever after. Zippy's not so sure.

Ershey: First of my characters to come to the lodging house. Both newsie and waitress. Used to steal a lot due to Ericson (corrupt detective) was using her for money... among other things. Plotted with Goblin and others to get rid of him. Mush's girlfriend. Risk's younger sister. Macbeth's bestfriend. Was kidnapped by Eastman to threaten Macbeth and Risk. No huge plots going on for her right now.

Risk: Ershey's older brother. Ex-gang member with Eastman. Works as undercover cop. Macbeth's unofficial but official 'significant other'. Helped out Goblin in Eastman plot to get information (went with Macbeth). Now living with Macbeth and her baby niece in an apartment.

Sammie: Eastman's former right hand. Eastman's daughter. Was kidnapped by Risk and Macbeth. Helped out Riddle and Goblin to find Eastman. Brought Goblin back home -- considering being a newsie.

Specs: Skittery's bestfriend. Tag's boyfriend. No plots!!!! Someone come play with Specs! (Seriously. Someone brainstorm with me to come up with something for him, haha.)

[Zippy]

SCRIPT. GASP. YOU FORGOT DAVID You have soo many characters haha

Zippy: Basking in the glory of reuniting with her long lost older brother, Eli. He tried to rob her and boyfriend David in an alley, but when he stole her necklace, he recognized it as their mothers, and they've been inseparable ever since. Zippy moved into an apartment with Eli and his roommate Luke, wanting to escape lodging house life. Still going strong with David, but its still awkward for her because his family has yet to accept her, and sometimes she worries that David moves too fast

Leo: Nothing really going on with him. He took out Raven for the night but as friends. He's kickin' it as Zorro in AU though!

Eli: Playing with Trixie all over New York and took a freight train with her to Florida. Found out Zippy had an ex that used to beat her, and hired Tristan (without Zip's knowledge) to get rid of him

Hawk: Let's see what happens! He's the new leader of Brooklyn, let the drama BEGIN.

[Racetrack]

My updates! Now updated, and a bit more detailed in some cases.

Racetrack: Is still sad because his girl, Sapphy, went off to California to be with her parents, so he's kind of in a downward spiral--gambling recklessly at shady dives and whatnot. Plenty of plot potential! Also, he's best friends with Rae and still hates Spot's guts for leaving her (even though they were childhood pals).

Goblin: Grew up in a wealthy but abusive home, ran away with his sister, and eventually ended up in the even more abusive Refuge. Eternally screwed up from those two experiences. Was involved with a girl named Riddle in the Refuge until she betrayed him to the warden (to avoid getting sold to a brothel). Later got out, dated Script, and made a massive plot to bring the Refuge down (including Monk Eastman's gang, which was keeping it open in order to buy girls for their brothels). Script ended up being raped by Eastman in the process of the plot, and broke up with him. He went after Eastman, killed him, and got shot in the shoulder in the process. Now dealing with a gunshot wound, Riddle's death, the news of Script's pregnancy, and his weird relationship with Sammie.

Wraith: Goblin's little sister. Totally thrilled by her new (possible) relationship with Fire (and the fact that her brother is still alive). Not much else going on with her.

Macbeth: Living in an apartment with Risk (who she has a weird semi-romantic relationship with) and her two-year-old niece, Jo. Extremely angry most of the time. Hates the world. Best friends with Ershey. Needs dramatic, angsty plotlines.

Tara: Friendly, happy, spontaneous, and somewhat crazy (in a good way) rich girl who just got kicked out/disinherited for breaking her engagement to a total creep. Dating Jack. Grew up next door to Goblin and Wraith before they ran away, and was romantically involved with Wraith when they were younger (she's bi). Has no clue what she's doing next.

Footsteps: Sweet and selfless, but also very sensible. A former Refuge kid who Goblin assigned to protect Script (but there was nothing she could do when Eastman took Script). Just got out of the Refuge and reunited with Cav, who she's launching a relationship with, and she couldn't be happier. A bit worried about staying in one place long-term, since she's been a wanderer all her life.

Aaand one more addition:

Riddle: Formerly a Refuge kid who betrayed her boyfriend, Goblin, and was then assigned to pick out girls with no friends or family for the warden to sell to Monk Eastman's brothels. Killed the warden when Goblin slipped her a bottle of poison, and escaped the Refuge. Helped Goblin and Sammie take down Monk Eastman in order to redeem herself. Fatally shot in the process.

Raven: Trying to get over Spot still but realizing that she will always love him and either she needs to take him back or not. Feels terrible about this since she is kind of seriously dating Nate. Is currently window shopping with Racetrack. Rae will probably be involved in the Brooklyn plot somehow I hope.

Tristan: had just made up with his wife after their huge blow out over Zippy. Is currently plotting to kill Zippy's ex boyfriend, probably slowly and painfully.

Jimmy: will be joining Tristan in the killing of Zippy's ex boyfriend. is way to ridiculously happy with Gypsy and having way too much sex.

Jack: has just told Tara that she can move in with him because her parents disowned her in front of everyone. made up with David.

I don't think there's anything else. If I missed it let me know.

Let's see how long this will take me...

Tag Along: Has been a newsie for about a year since the tragic house fire. Keeps mostly to herself and reads all the time. Has a boyfriend, Specs, and they never get involved in any of the drama. I seriously don't know what to do with her anymore. Bless.

Mush: Nothing going on with him except talking to Ershey about s-e-x at the Debutante Ball...

Skittery: Oh, my dear boy. Where do I begin? Is completely in love with Script, bless his heart. Knocked her up, and feels completely responsible and guilty because he was drunk when it happened. Doesn't really know what to do with himself or with her. I plan on him getting really depressed and becoming a nomad. And painting a lot.

Rose: Nothing that Jess didn't already say in Moonshine's update! Who wants to get drunk with Rose at Irving Hall?

And Kathryn, I no longer play in 1899 world! But I'm having a ball with her in AU world

Um, Tag? My answer to your question is, I KNOW HOW YOU CAN HAVE DRAMA WITH TAG. ;D

Hawk is the new badass nickname of Sammy, the traitor who tried to take over Brooklyn waaay back in the early days of this board. He's going to make a comeback and start all sorts of trouble. So Tag should totally meet him and develop a crush on him without knowing who he is (it's not like she hasn't had other crushes while dating Specs! ). And then he'll turn out to be evil! And crazy drama will ensue! And it will be awesome!...just a thought.
