Rose's mom had come to pick Dexter up earlier that day, dogsitting him for the night. The apartment seemed so quiet...
She went over to her closet and took off her shoes, her heart already starting to beat faster than normal.

She approached him silently, taking his hand and pulling him away from the fridge. There was a certain look in her eyes, one that Tyler hadn't quite seen yet.
