"There ya go," she said with a nod of finality. "Okay. Let's hit up Target."

He groaned. "Baby, you are so lucky I love ya." He stretched, grabbing his keys.

Impulsively, Rose jumped up into Tyler's arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his middle. "I know," she replied with a smile.

He laughed and carried her out the door like that, kissing her all the way to his truck.

As she settled into the passenger's seat, Rose reflected that after less than 24 hours of being with Tyler, she was the happiest she'd been in years. The fact that she had just found out her fiance was cheating and broken off her engagement should've made her depressed and sad. But...she wasn't. She wondered if that was normal.

Tyler held her hand as he drove to Target. It didn't feel as though there had been a ten year divide between them. It felt completely natural to be with Rose, and now living with her.

It didn't take long for Rose to fill up a shopping cart with kitchen things, comfy blankets, towels, some picture frames, and a few grocery items (she would go full on grocery shopping after work tomorrow). Now, they found themselves in the clothing section. Rose had decided to buy a dress and some jeans, then a plaid flannel shirt with elbow patches in the Men's section caught her eye...

Tyler followed along dutifully, pushing the cart and reaching things on shelves. "Honey, I ain't wearin' that."

"But you wore one like it to our first dinner date. And at the ranch," she argued, sifting through the rack for a large.

"Mine didn't have weird elbow patches. I'm gonna look less country and more like a hipster." He made a face.

"No!" she countered, shaking her head and taking out a large. Also an extra large. She held it up to him, admiring it. "If anything, it's more grandpa than hipster. But, in any case, I think it's incredibly sexy."

He sighed, giving her an amused look. "You plannin' on makin' me over or somethin'?"

"Of course not. You're perfect," she replied immediately, putting the large in the cart. "But that doesn't mean I won't buy you things I know you'll look great in. Even if you're not there." That was a girlfriend's job, after all. To make her boyfriend look good. Right?
((Uhm, sorry, Tyler. But I can't wait to have a boyfriend so I can shop for him. There is so much great men's stuff out there, I'm so pissed I can't ever buy anything!))

((Haha, my bf puts up such a fight. I want him to wear polo shirts SO BAD and he HATES them))
He laughed and pulled her to him, kissing her soundly. "God, yer adorable."

((My plan is to just get him things when he's not with me, then hopefully he'll feel obligated enough to wear it! Also that my bf is someone who's so laid back, he doesn't give a shit what he wears.))
She giggled into his mouth, blushing a little. "So are you. Let's get out of here." There were some rose scented candles in that cart waiting to be used.
