David frowned, downing the rest of his wine and snatching another off the tray of a passing server. "Because you asked me to."
Trixie clapped and cheered along with everyone else, then gave a dreamy little sigh as she watched Luke lead Lottie to the dance floor.

"That was weeks ago!" Zippy exclaimed, standing up and storming to the bathroom.
Eli was about to ask Trixie to dance when Zippy stormed past them, nearly knocking him over. "Whoa. Erin!" He looked at Trixie. "Was she upset?"

Trixie watched her storm off, then looked over at the table and saw a sullen-looking David gulping down a glass of wine before snatching a whole bottle from a waiter. "Yikes. You go talk to Davey, I'll find Erin." She kissed him, then headed off towards the bathroom.

"Wait! No! I call Erin!" Eli called after her, but it was too late. Eli pouted, heading over to the table and sitting down next to Dave. "Hey Loverboy, trouble in paradise?"
Zippy was fixing her hair in the bathroom when Trixie came in. "The ceremony was beautiful, wasnt it?"

David nearly growled at him, refilling his glass with his newly acquired bottle. "Your sister lied to me about drawing naked men."
Trixie nodded, fixing her lipstick. "It really was. They're so cute and perfect together."

"She's- she's what?" Eli blinked, let the information register, and then bursted out laughing.
"Is Eli still worked up about Luke leaving?" Erin asked her, washing her hands.

Trixie moved to sit on the chaise against the wall. "Not so much. He'll miss him, though."

Eli took the wine from David, still laughing. "You need something stronger, Loverboy. Come with me." Eli grabbed his arm, pulling him up and leading him to the bar. "Two whiskeys. On the rocks."
"I'll miss him, too. Luke was a neat freak, he kept the place tidy. Always picking up after Eli. You'll be warned, Eli is sort of a mess," Zippy joked.

David sat at the bar, annoyed, and took the whiskey gladly. "She's mad at me. Says I'm not being understanding."
Trixie smiled a little, maybe a little dreamily. "I don't mind so much. I kinda wanna be the one cleanin' up after him."

"Eh, I'm biased," Eli remarked, swirling the whiskey around in his glass. "I say just give in to her, because if you make her cry I'll punch you." He chuckled, shrugging. "But for real though, this art class has her painting men? Naked men? How naked?"
Zippy glanced at her, trying to find the right words to say. "Better you than me, I guess."

David gave him a grim look. "Naked naked. All the way hanging out naked." He tossed back his whiskey.
Trixie glanced back at her, biting her lip, then saying softly. "I know ya don't think I'm good enough for him, Erin."

Eli made a face. "Gross. No wonder she didn't tell you," Eli remarked, with a shiver. "And was that what all the yellin' was about when you found her sketches? Ew."
Zippy shook her head. "No, Trixie, that isn't true. I like you a whole lot. I'm just afraid that you and Eli will go get hitched and I'll be all alone."

David made a face, gesturing the bartender to get him more whiskey. "Ya know, it wasn't even the sketches that pissed me off. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't want her looking at other men. But what really got me was that she lied about it. She's always hiding stuff from me!"
Trixie tilted her head at her, looking confused. "But you have Davey. He's crazy about ya."

Zippy nodded. "Yeah. But he has his own family. And he's going ot college. At least I think he is. He's leaving me. I'd be miserable if Eli left, too."
