He shook his head again. "Nothing had to change. It'd be harder, sure, but we could still have everything we wanted. She just didn't have faith in us. Didn't love me enough." He downed the rest of his class.

He sighed. "But I told her she didn't need to be. I wouldn't have left her, Jack. I only broke up with her now 'cause she wouldn't keep it. I can't be with a girl who's willing to kill the baby I made with her."
