"Good," Leo replied, although he was still a bit unsure. "When are you planning on telling him? About us? And your job?"

"Soon," Lana answered with a casual shrug of her shoulders. "I do not care what he says anymore. "If he does not like it, I do not care. If I must leave, I will."

Leo nodded. Well, there wasn't much more he could ask for. "I'm glad you feel that way, querida," Leo told her, putting an arm around her shoulders. "You are too great and smart to have to listen to anyone but yourself."

"Do you mean that?" Lana asked, her forehead wrinkling as she looked up at him. No one had ever said that to her before, especially not Pasha. "I am glad that someone thinks I can take care of myself..."

"Of course! You are very independent. You take good care of Starfish. And you sewed all the holes in my shirts. I am buying your burrito tonight." Leo told her, as they walked.

"Well... Okay." Lana tried her best to relax as they walked toward the restaurant, but she couldn't shake the feelings growing in the pit of her stomach.
She inhaled slowly, nervously chewing her lower lip. "He scares you, doesn't he?"

"He doesn't scare me, no," Leo replied. "He makes me worry for you."

"Does he?" Lana asked, her eyes averting. "Why?" She was almost sure she already knew what his response would be, but she wanted to hear it from him anyway.
((I have a feeling that Pasha is going to do something really soon to end up pushing her away since she's finally getting fed up with his bossiness. Just because it seems like a good idea in my head))

((drama! plus poor pasha is gonna be kicked to the curb once Annabelle finds out the truth. lucky for him she is sort of stupid))
"He is trying to control you. And because he will not be happy to know you find a job, or that you found me," Leo replied, blushing a bit at that. They finally reached the restaurant, and the hostess, a middle aged woman, recognized Leo and greeted him in Spanish.
"mesa para dos, por favor" Leo told her, holding onto Lana's hand. The woman nodded, and sat them down at a table with a small candle, and handed them two menus.

((haha, well it serves him right for being a jerk! But yeah, he's definitely going to drive his sister to leave, at this rate.))
"I will not let him control me anymore, Leo," Lana promised, her head shaking. "He does not know what he is talking about."
She followed Leo to the table and sat down, carefully taking the menu. She opened it up and looked it over. "I do not know any of this food," she told him with a laugh. "What will you get?"

"I love burritos," Leo replied, laughing. "Beans, meat, cheese, vegetables....they are the best here. What do you like? There are tacos, fajitas, quesadillas...."

"A.... burrito.... sounds good," Lana decided with a shrug. One food at a time, she decided. After at, it sounded tame enough! "I will try something else next time." Provided there was a next time, that is.

Leo smiled. "It is very delicious. If you do not like it, we can order you something else." When the waitress came by, Leo chatted with her in Spanish, explaining to her that it was Lana's first time eating Mexican food.
"Ah! Chica! You will love it." She set down water and chips with salsa. Leo ordered them burritos and the waitress left. Leo dipped a chip into salsa.
"Go on, try it. The salsa is mild, but very good."

Lana eyed the bowl of chips and salsa. She reached across the table and picked out a chip, dipping it into the salsa. She took a bite and quickly reached for the glass of water. "Spicy!" She laughed. She picked up another chip and dipped it back into the salsa. "But... it is good!" Two bites in, and she could already tell that she was going to like eating Mexican food.

Leo chuckled, and ate another chip. "I'm glad you like it. Drink water if your mouth is too hot," he advised.
