Background info (please include family as well): Born in Pennsylvania to a coal mining family. He had three other brothers including his father who worked in the mines. He was the only one that longed for adventure since he was a small boy. He was notorious for attempting to run the railroad tracks in hopes to catch a train. He did not care where he went, he just loved to travel. Finally when he was 10 years old, he successfully caught a train to New York and ended up in Brooklyn. He nearly was ran over by a train when attempting to leave again until one of the Brooklyn newsies pulled him out of the way. He decided to stay in New York after that day and began hawking the headlines by train stations and has become one of Spot Conlon’s protégés and one of the sharpest shooters in Brooklyn. He looks up to Spot as one of his closest friends and loyal to his friends in Brooklyn.
