Rescue Mission (closed-ish)

[Wraith]

"That's where we're headed," Wraith assured her, and silently led Script on out of Five Points and toward Duane Street.

[Script]

They walked in silence, but she stopped when they reached the front door. "Wraith--Clara...I...thank you." She lifted her eyes to look at her face, bottom lip trembling. "Thank you."

[Wraith]

"Y-you don't need to thank me," Wraith assured her, smiling gently. "Sebastian told me to get Tristan and rescue you, so..." She looked Script earnestly in the eye. "If...if he had any idea this would happen...he never would've asked you to get involved." Her heart truly went out to Script, but she was also devastated by the knowledge of what this would do to Goblin.

[Script]

"I appreciate that, Clara. But both of us know he would have." She'd figured too much out in the last few days. "He needed me for the plan to work." She didn't sound mad when she said it, only resigned, and maybe a little sad. "Go get him out, Clara. I'll be here."

[Wraith]

She swallowed, feeling the lump in her throat, and nodded, backing out of the lodging house and slowly heading toward the Refuge to save her brother. Even though at this point, she almost thought it might be kinder to leave him in there.

[Script]

Maggie watched her disappear into the darkness before going inside. She climbed up the stairs to the washroom in silence.

She didn't breakdown until she was safe and alone in the heat of the shower.
