Nevada had been feeling odd all day. Not odd really...pain. Pain that kept getting worse and worse. She knew what it was but refused to acknowledge that she was in labor. Mostly because she was alone and terrified. Where the FUCK was Tristan? She was stuck between calming Mikey who was screaming because Nevada was in no shape to care for anyone and screaming every time a contraction hit her.
Where the FUCK was Tristan?

Being the wonderful friend that Raven happens to be she decided that very day to check in on Nevada. She knew she was close to giving birth and thought she might need a few things or even help with Mikey.
When she heard the screaming Raven knew immediately it had to be Nevada. She hurried up the stairs as quick as possible.
"Shit!" She hurried into the bedroom. "Oh jesus..."

Nevadas head flew up, hoping it was Tristan.
'well you're SOMEONE!' Nevada said, hunched over with a crying Mikey under one arm.
'i do believe I'm having a baby,' she said through clenched teeth. She breathed a sigh of relief when the contraction passed and she could stand upright.
'where the fuck is Tristan? Do you know?'

"No, I have no idea where your husband is. Gimme Mikey and try to stay calm. I'm going to get ready and then get you a midwife okay?" Raven took the baby from Nevada and held him against her chest. "Okay sssh...sssh."
"I'll be back as soon as I can okay?" She said to Nevada as she rubbed Mikey's back.

Nevada nodded, bending over as another contraction hit her. She looked down as she felt a warmth between her legs, 'I swear I didn't just piss myself,' Nevada joked

Raven's eyes widened. "I so can't handle this..." She took a deep breath. "Just...stay!" She held one hand out at her in a stop motion and fled the bedroom.
"Okay...deep breaths, find the midwife...okay." Raven held Mikey against her hip as she filled a pot with water and then set it on the stove to boil.
"Okay Mikey, come with me." Mikey had stopped crying and was now wiping his eyes. He nodded. Raven went back down the hall and into the linen closet looking for old towels, sheets etc. She found what she was looking for and pulled a few down from the shelf.

'this is gonna be you in a few months!' Nevada shouted before taking her skirts and shirt off, left standing in nothing but a camisole. 'just a warning I'm practically naked but you can't give birth in a skirt,' Nevada said through gritted teeth, reaching out for the bed post.

"It's fine...just try to breath or something!" Raven called to her as she gathered the bowl of water and handed the rags to Mikey which he held tight to his chest.
"Good boy," Raven said with a smile. She entered the room and set the hot water down on the dresser, took the rags from Mikey and set them down beside the bowl.
"I swear I won't be gone long. I'm going to get the midwife and I'm coming back. I'm taking Mikey with me." She told her and then gave Nevada's free hand a squeeze. "I'm gonna kill Spot by the way." She smirked at her.

"Oh...great," Raven said with a gulp. "Okay, come on Mikey. We're going for a walk." She waved at her and then hurried out of the apartment to get the midwife.
She arrived at the midwife's house and started pounding on the door.

Nevada remained by the bed post, holding tightly every time a contraction came. It was worse and worse every time and lasted longer. She didn't know pain like that existed. Nevada kept looking toward the door praying Rae would hurry up because she felt like she needed to push but couldn't do it alone.
......and Jesus where the FUCK was Tristan?!

Finally the midwife answered. "Thank God! Nevada Shamien's having her baby, right now." Raven yelled.
"Calm down girl." The midwife said in response and went back inside to gather her things. She left the house and closed the door behind her.
Raven and the Midwife, Mrs. Phillips, hurried to the apartment.
"Nevada! We're here! She's in the backroom." Raven said and showed the midwife the way.

'Jesus Christ it's about time! I thought the baby was trying to crawl out of me!' Nevada said as she made her way to the bed to lay down, 'okay.....so.....holy shit this hurts!'

The midwife helped her into bed, she arranged the pillows so they were a support under Nevada's back.
"Alright, time to have a baby." She said and rubbed her hands together. ((HAH sorry))

Nevada was really wishing Tristan at least knew but he was nowhere and it was killing her.
'okay,' she said, nodding. The midwife instructed her to push at the next contraction. she did as was told and continued to push and scream and be in pain until, all of a sudden it was gone and she could hear a baby crying. She did it.
'can I see....him....her?'
