Amelia had to get out of her house. Things had been tense to say the least so she decided to go to the one place that she could be peaceful.
So she sat in a large leather chair in a hidden corner emerged in A Midsummer Nights Dream.

Nate pulled the collar of his jacket up over his ears as he trudged up the steps that led into the library. He couldn't remember the last time he had gone to the library, or even the last time he was in this part of town. One thing he did know, however, was that it was too damn cold out and that he had to warm up inside for a little bit.
He entered the library and began to wander quietly though the rows and rows of books. This place was a lot bigger than he had remembered! He paused in front of a shelf, picked out a book, and went about his way looking for an empty chair.
His search for a chair led him to a secluded corner. There were chairs in it, all right, but one of them already appeared to be occupied. He quietly walked over to the chairs, first stopping at the one occupied by a girl who appeared to be very engrossed in whatever it was she was reading. "Excuse me," he whispered, trying to get her attention. "Is... is this seat taken?" he asked, pointing to the other empty armchair.

Amelia glanced up slowly at this boy who was speaking to her extremely quietly. She blinked and then shook her head. "Oh no, not at all. Please do sit." She said, motioning for him to do so. She smiled.

"Thanks," he said with a smile. He nodded his head politely at the girl before taking the seat next to her. He opened his book and began to read. He could only manage to read a few paragraphs before his thoughts wandered to the girl next to him.
His eyes glanced over the top of his book as he stole a glance at the girl once more. He couldn't help but wonder if she came to the library often. If she did, he decided, he would have to come to this part of town more often.

((Aw Nate...aww shucks))
Amelia glanced up from the pages of her book as well, flicking her eyes over to him. She blushed immediately when he caught her staring. "Oh...sorry...I well. You know sometimes when you're interested in someone so you just blatantly start staring at them? I'm definitely doing that and I'm sorry." Leans forward as much as her corset will allow and smiles with her lips pressed together.

Nate's eyebrow arched at the girl's confession, or admission, or whatever it was. Did she seriously just say that, or was he just imagining things? "Oh, umm, well.... There's no need to be sorry," he replied bashfully, blushing just a bit before quickly hiding back behind his book.
Yep, he was definitely going to have to come to the library more often.

Amelia was quiet for a bit and then cleared her throat. "um, what are you reading?" She asked him with a smile, leaning over. "I'm afraid I'm not very good at the quiet part of being in a library."

"Oh, umm, it's okay," Nate assured her with a quick laugh. To be completely honest, her had NO idea what he was reading. He glanced down at the book, quickly turning it around to see its cover. "It's, ummm, it's Around the World in 80 Days. What are you reading?"

"Isn't he a little old for you?" He asked playfully. He paused, chewing on his lower lip. Hopefully she could tell that he was kidding...
"That's... that's a good play though. Saw part of it once."

She smiled brightly, "oh did you? I've always wanted to go see it but never had the chance."

"Never?" Nate asked, surprised. Even he had seen some Shakespeare. Granted it was only because he had managed to sneak in and was promptly escorted out during intermission, but it still counted! He laughed softly and closed his book, devoting all of his attention to Amelia. "Here you are, in the greatest city in the world, and you haven't had the time to see it?"

"I just arrived, so of course I haven't yet. I'm just starting to get my bearings." she smiled at him.

"Oh, well, I guess that buys you some time then," he laughed. "Once you've settled in, though, you've got no excuse."

She laughed, "oh most definitely not. I will rush to the theatre straight away."
