"Why?" he asked looking down at her when she touched his cheek. "I kiss ya all the time." It wasn't really a lie, he kissed her cheek and her hair in passing but it didn't mean anything. It wasn't like the tangling of lips he had with the girls he talked into bed.

He was, really. "Because I think you deserve better, an' that ain't just a roll with me." It would take him time, he didn't think she had any designs on him. They'd been friends, laughed at each other's conquests and liked to screw with people. He didn't have many relationships like that. Isa sure but she went cat crazy with her claws the moment he gave her a smile that even eluded that he might like to see her naked. He'd never done that with Gypsy.

"If you knew it you should wait and change the timin'" his temper wasn't something to be squawked at but he was tired and this conversation had taken a turn. Running his hand over his neck he turned around and looked back at her. He opened his mouth to tell her that her timing was shit, and that there wasn't going to be a two of them, not right now. But he didn't, instead he sighed. "... you're not a whore, Gen. But I'm one that doesn't get paid... and if we went down that road, I wouldn't be sharin. For now leave it alone alright?" he'd never even THOUGHT about it, sure he cared about her but he hadn't tried to figure out what it was. It just was.
