Personality: Bumlets is a quiet guy in his own right, he doesn't talk a lot because he doesn't always have something to say. He's a philosopher and he tends to see things in a more spiritual light than most. He doesn't come off as shy, he's just quiet-- he sits back and talks to his friends but he mostly just listens. He's a scrappy fighter, like most of his ilk, he's good with knives and his broomstick that he's used as a club-- but now it's just like a part of him.
Hobbies and interests: He likes to read, he had to hang out with the boys to learn how to read english and then asked the nuns to help him. He is not illiterate but he almost was. Other than that he tends to play cards, gamble and give advice when people need it. Really.. Bumlets is like the Manhattan sage. Wise beyond his years
Bad habits, criminal record, etc: gambles, has been known to pick rich pockets if he's needed too-- drinks but he doesn't have a criminal record. Not now anyway
Employment: Newsie... he wants more but it works for now.

Bumlets was born Benito Russo in the middle of Spain. He grew up in a spanish romani caravan speaking the language and learning the customs. His father was an adventurer and thought that america would be one more adventure with a lot of open space for them to explore. So he took the family over where Benito's name was changed to Brian. His dad liked New York so they stayed for a time-- he learned english by hanging out near the other news boys and eventually made friends with them (though it took awhile). Finally his parents moved on, his elders sister got married and he stayed. He liked New York too much to go anywhere and he wanted to make his own life and living. So here he's been.
