She grinned and leaned forward a bit, "You remind me of Aladdin though, clever street kid down and out--?" She chuckled and sighed-- she could change the story how she wanted to with every telling but the truth was, it held up the way it was. "who finds a magical lamp... and makes wish after wish after wish-- to make his life better. A grand house, money, all because he loved a girl."

"Aye, she was a princess and so he knew he could never marry her-- because he was a street rat and she was a princess and he'd have to be a prince to marry her. So he moved heaven and earth to make it so with the help of the lamp...."

"The lamp was magic, and inside the lamp held a genie with the power of all the cosmos... he was hired to retreive the lamp by by a sorcerer from a cave full of many secrets. Of course he didn't know what it was or he'd never have let the sorcerer hire him for such a small fee.."

"Aye, he was clever but the sorcer thought he was more clever. Inside the gave were so many jewels and tempting things, but the sorcerer had told him just to get the lamp and touch nothing... so he passed it all bye and headed for the lamp. He didn't know what was so important about a lamp you see-- but he was a man of his word even if he was a thief. "

Jack nodded with understanding, he could seriously relate to this Aladdin guy more than he wanted to admit.

"So Aladdin came out of the cave... holding the lamp but the cave collapsed and he was hanging on. The sorcerer demanded the lamp then he'd save Aladdin, but Aladdin knew better-- even as he lost his grip he knew that the sorcerer wouldn't help him eve if he had the lamp. The ground opened wide and he fell.... into the dark. The sorcerer raged--- for he'd lost the lamp yet again. But at least Aladdin was dead-- or so he thought anyway."
