He laughed quietly at that, then glanced over at the window. "It's gettin' late. We should get up to sleep." The fire behind them was almost out, too -- how long had they been sitting here talking?

She didn't have any idea, most of the boys were gone-- her eyes turned to the window and she tilted her head. "Maybe... don't know if I'll sleep much."

She stood up slowly and stretched her arms over her head, "Hmmm maybe... they say the stars are more than stars. Say when people die they become stares.."

Pie got up to his feet, too, wincing at the bruises that had been forgotten while he sat. "If that's the case, you should go sleep on the roof, so you can see 'em."

"It's not a bad idea, that," she looked up at him and rubbed his shoulder with her hand. How many hits had he taken... she was almost hesitating to leave him. "Might go up to the roof..." Maybe he'd join her-- but that idea was silly. "I'll be up there if anyone comes lookin.." That was an invitation right? Without really asking him to keep her company? It might get cold too but.. she'd go.

She grinned and grabbed her hat from one of the chairs, "Or make 'em worse. But the stars might help.. I know a story about some stars.. if ya wanna hear it."

"Always wanna hear your stories, Mol," he answered as he followed her out of the room. He would stop and grab a couple of blankets out of the hall storage closet so they wouldn't freeze completely, at least -- it should be an interesting end to the evening.

More than interesting she got to the roof without any trouble, shoving her hat over her hair to fight off the chill in that way as she looked up at the stars. "Story goes that --- Orion was a hunter, back in ancient times an' he was a favorite of Artemis.. she was very fond a him..."

Pie kicked aside a couple of old newspapers and spread one of the blankets down on the rooftop, then took a seat on it, gesturing for her to sit, too. "Why was she fond of him?"

She sat down next to him and wrapped her arms around her knees looking up at the sky, "Because he was handsome and a talented hunter... one of the best. She liked that about him.."

Artemis was furious... and angry when he died. So she asked that Zeus put him in the stars for all ta see... because he was a great hero an deserved the honor... so he's right there.." she pointed to the three stars that made his belt. "An' the scorpion that killed 'im is over there..."

Pie leaned to follow where her finger pointed. "Not nice of them to put the scorpion up there, too, though, is it?" He tilted his head to the side.
