"You just need to work on him a little longer," he advised. "Connelly's playing it safe, but you'll get to him if you take more time." Though, Monday could certainly understand why someone would spill all his secrets to a girl like Piper. She really was the ace in Priest's hand.

Monday's assertion about her may just be the boost Piper needed. "Right. Well I'm here in Brooklyn. Priest wanted you to know that," piper muttered, glancing at him. "I'm on Connelly. But this newsie gang. I'm beginning to collect names, I'll write them down for you." she scribbled a bunch of names on a piece of paper.

Monday watched her scrawl the names down, frowning slightly. "And he really thinks a bunch of kids is going to be a threat?" With a sigh, he got up and took the list from her when she was finished. "I'll look into it. And if you need any help getting to Connelly, I'll do what I can."

Piper nodded, running a hand through her hair and turning towards the door. Monday would be watching her now, for Priest. Now she would never be able to get away...

Monday crossed the room to open the door for her, frowning. "See you around," he said. He'd have to keep an eye on her, now that he knew she was moving around in Brooklyn -- if anything happened to Priest's little pet, it'd be Monday's hide.
