[Violet]

It obviously wasn't going anywhere for either of them, she watched him quietly-- her brows lifting to urge him to finish. She was listening this time... not just shouting.

[tshamien]

Tristan sighed heavily again and then said, "I'm gonna be a dad..." He said it so calmly, so matter of factly, but his heart was racing. He'd known for awhile and he hadn't told anyone. "Soon..." Very soon, probably within the next month.

[Violet]

Vi was quiet for a moment, but her face didn't change-- she didn't look disgusted or angry or anything she just let him finish giving him a half smile, "Aye, so whatcha gonna do about that? A babe is a big deal, love. Even if ya dun intend on bein' with the ma.."

[tshamien]

"oh and I don't. I'm gonna do the right thing. I wanna be a father, I wanna take care of him." he said with a nod, "but I had to tell ya."

[Violet]

She smiled and shrugged her shoulders, "Makes ya a good man, Tris. Not many would stick round ta just be a father--" She meant that too, tilting her head and touching his cheek gently. She was always touching him but normally it wasn't like that. "'m not goin' no where.."

[tshamien]

Tristan sighed heavily, like a weight was lifted off his shoulders, "I couldn't do what my father did, just left me like that. I already care about the baby ya know?" He shrugged and let his hand rest on her waist.

[Violet]

She nodded, leaning against the wall. "Aye I do.... Ya take yer responsibilities to seriously fer that." And a child? That was the ultimate...

[tshamien]

He nodded. "Vi," Tristan said softly and then clasped her hand in his, he looked down at their entwined fingers and then into her eyes. "She told me she don't want it."

[Violet]

Her eyes raised to his, and she softened again her brow raising. "She don't want it? What does she plan ta do?" His fingers around hers, she accepted it. Easily without argument or complaint, he needed this to ground him too.

[tshamien]

"She wanted to get rid of it, but I convinced her not too." He licked his lips. "I'm gonna take the baby. It's going to be mine."

[Violet]

She nodded her head, tipping her eyes to his, "The lodgin' house isn' a good place for a babe, an' it'll need a wet nurse or somethin'... " She was the logical one, didn't tell him it was stupid-- just started to set out what would be needed. "I'll help ya.. whatever ya need."

[tshamien]

He was shocked by her response. He blinked in surprise and then nodded. "Thanks Violet." He smiled at her softly. Tristan was going to do this and he was going to be damn good at it.

[Violet]

She gave him a small smile, touching his cheek with her hand. "you'll be a good da, Tris... The babe'll never wonder." Never deliver the sins of the parents on the child.

[tshamien]

"I hope so," he said. Everything had happened so fast. He gently pulled Violet closer and brushed his nose against her cheek. He closed his eyes.

[Violet]

She let out a breath and held him against her-- his life was always going to be crazy but, at least she knew that he actually had feelings for her. That it wasn't just a game to get her into bed, he wanted to be near her and that was very different. Because she could hear it in his voice.
