Jack grabbed the ball quickly and then tossed it to pie as fast as he could, grunting with the force of the throw.

Pie flailed a bit for the ball, having to jump to catch it. He rushed back to the base, trying to make it there before Specs did.

Fae didn't know who to root for, "Get 'im Pie! I mean--- oh butterscotch," she mumbled and folded her arms leaning over towards Ershey. "Who do ya root fer in this situation?"
"Specs," Bumlets replied letting out a whistle to encourage the team leader.

Pie laughed and clapped his hands. "C'mon, batter!" he shouted. Their team was actually doing better than expected, and he didn't have to tackle anyone.

Jack grinned at Pie, oh was he gonna take this guy out too, he knew it he could just feel it. He slapped the ball in to the mitt.
