Leo smiled. "Me too. Max thinks that I'm doing this to help the dogs...he doesn't know that its really the dogs that help me." He scratched behind the cocker spaniel's ears.

Tag's smile didn't waver as she reflected on that thought. It was very true, she decided. Whenever she picked up a hurt animal, she always thought she was helping it. But she never made the connection that it also made her happy.
She picked Chip up and set him down on the ground where he immediately shook his whole body to get the water off. Tag screamed as the fat droplets hit her everywhere. Though the water didn't soak her, it still made her damp and uncomfortable.

Leo laughed out loud, and placed summer the cocker spaniel in the tub next. "Since you did so well with Chip, you should give a bath to Summer too."

Tag's expression was one of shock, but she also couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh yeah?" She replied before putting her hands in the tub and splashing some water on Leo.

Leo nodded, "oh yeah." He grabbed a towel and wiped his hands. "I'm going to go put Chip back and grab another dog."

Tag chuckled to herself, putting the Cocker Spaniel into the tub and bathing it.
"Yes, you're a lovely girl, aren't you?" Tag cooed, scratching underneath Summer's chin. "You know, I sincerely wish I could take all of you home with me. But, I fear you'd be no better off with me than you are here. But I can come visit you often, can't I? Yes, I can, sweet girl. Yes, you are a sweet girl!"

Leo caught the last of Tag's cooing and released two giant St Bernards to go running around the yard. "She's loving you," Leo observed, coming over to her. "You have such a way with animals, its inspiring."

Tag blushed, but she couldn't help but smile at his compliment.
"Thanks. I've been told I have a way with animals and small children. They just seem to love me, trust me. It's quite strange, but I love it."

Leo shook his head, tossing a ball at one of the dogs. "I don't think its strange, I think it makes a lot of sense, actually. You are a very nurturing person, it is probably one of the reasons I liked you in the first place."

Tag blushed even more.
"Yes, I think that's true. I mean, that I'm a nurturing person." She kept her eyes fixed on Summer as she finished lathering her coat with soap.
