"Absolutely." Tag nodded definitively. "Just seek me out whenever. It won't be too hard to find me, I'm sure."
She noticed the warmth leaving the air as the sun left the sky, goosebumps forming on her arms.

"You better not hide from me," teased Specs. He handed her the book, smiling shyly. "I know how much you love this, so... how about you keep it for now? It'll keep me from reading forward."

Tag nodded, taking the book and hugging it to her chest.
"It's gotten rather chilly out here... Shall we head back?"

Specs nodded, gently placing Lizzie on the grass as he began folding the blanket. He stopped halfway, looked at Tag and asked, "You cold?"

Tag had gathered the food into the basket, now clutching it.
"Just a little." She shrugged. She was used to being cold by now.

Instead of completely folding the blanket, Specs gently laid it on her shoulders, thinking it was better for her to stay wrapped in it rather than him uselessly holding the blanket. "Better?" he asked, smiling at her. He grabbed the basket from her slyly. "I'll hold this instead."

Tag blushed as his hands had touched her shoulders.
"You are probably the sweetest guy I've ever met." She said quietly, glancing up at him.

"Uh, er... thanks," muttered Specs, smiling nervously at her. "I didn't have a jacket, so, uh... figured this might work."
He mentally patted himself on the back. Good move, Specs.

"You're welcome." Tag replied, blushing yet smiling.
She began to walk back to the house, Lizzie at her heels.

Specs knew he was grinning like a fool as they walked. Not even caring that he was holding a basket. He loved spending time with Tag but he felt as if being just friends was too difficult. She was smart and lovely, unlike any other newsgirl he'd met before. By the time they reached the lodging house, Specs convinced himself to fight for her and win her over.
"Had fun?" he asked, stopping at the door of the lodging house.

Tag nodded quickly, smiling widely and brightly up at him.
"I very much enjoyed myself." She replied, hugging the blanket around her. She couldn't help but think about the next time she read to him... She was greatly looking forward to it.

Specs adjusted his hat, tempted to give her a kiss on the cheek to say goodbye. She was just too darn irresistible. Instead, he sighed and simply smiled at her. "I'll see you tomorrow, then?"

"Of course." She suddenly got very embarrassed and blushed furiously. Then she realized something.
"Why are we still standing by the door? We both live here..." She tried to keep her laughter in as she raised an eyebrow at Specs.

"Oh, uh... yeah, right," said Specs, laughing nervously as he opened the door for her.

Once Tag got inside, she folded up the blanket and put it on the front desk. She signed herself and Specs in, her handwriting the neatest out of any of the other entries.
