"He wasn't giving you any trouble, was he?" said Ryan with concern. She was a nice and beautiful girl and he hated seeing someone take advantage of her. "If you were there with me, you'd have a much better time. Theoretically, of course."

[Tag Along]

"No, everything was fine. It was just one dance." Lillian wondered why he seemed so concerned, but she also didn't mind it.

"Why only theoretically? It's perfectly acceptable for soldiers and nurses to socialize outside of the base, you know..."

[Specs]

Ryan couldn't help but smirk as he listened her to comment. Well, there was no escaping it now...

"Of course it's perfectly acceptable," he smiled, taking his time. "I'd ask you to dance only if you gave me your nurse's permission if I could... y'know, 'cause I'm so hurt."

[Tag Along]

"Yes, of course." Lillian replied, trying to sound as serious as possible. "You are quite injured. I can safely say it is the worst battle wound I've seen yet." She nodded, her eyebrows raised.

[Specs]

"Oh?" said Ryan, teasingly. Two can play this game. "I guess I can't take you out to dance tonight, then. Too bad." He sighed loudly, putting on the saddest face he could muster.

[Tag Along]

"Too bad, indeed." Lillian sighed and shrugged her bony shoulders.

"I guess I'll just go alone, then."

[Specs]

"I guess I'll just save my dancing for another girl next time I go out, then," said Ryan, biting back his smile.

[Tag Along]

"Yes, that sounds like a good idea." Lillian advised him, her expression matching his.

[Specs]

"It's settled, then," said Ryan in a serious tone, his smile completely gone from his face. He sighed, pausing before saying anything before finally looking directly at her. "I'm taking you out tonight whether you like it or not."

[Tag Along]

"I wouldn't dream of doing anything else with my evening." Lillian replied, her tone just as serious.

In her head, she was already planning what dress she wanted to wear.

[Specs]

Ryan finally broke out into a smile, incredibly excited for the night ahead.

"Don't forget, I'm still injured. I won't be at my full potential," he teased, grinning at her.

[Tag Along]

"Well, it's a good thing you'll be with a nurse, then." Lillian smiled back, though hers was more flirtatious.

Just then, Mabel walked in. "Hey, new girl. Got some filing for you to do." Lillian practically jumped up from the cot, her flirtatious grin quickly wiped off her face. She began to walk toward the office, waiting for Mabel to leave before she snuck a glance back at Ryan.

Ryan opened his mouth to say something but was suddenly distracted by the other nurse that just walked in. Great timing, really. He was disappointed to see her go, wishing that she could've stayed a bit longer. Ryan watched her walk away, giving her a small smile when she glanced back at him. He sighed, figuring a nap was needed to energize himself for tonight.

When she was let go from her shift at half past 5 that evening, Lillian quickly made her way back to the small set of rooms she shared with two other girls, Evie and Anna. They were both lounging in the living room when Lillian burst in and told them about her day and how successful it had been.

Since she didn't know what time Ryan would be by to pick her up, she decided to get ready immediately.

Ryan wanted to run in circles, do pull ups, or even play basketball once he was let go from the clinic. He had so much energy and he didn't know what to do with it. After checking in with the other boys, he made his way to his room, pulling out the cleanest and nicest clothes he could find. He remembered that they didn't decide on when to meet and figured he didn't want her to wait around too long.

Near 7, Ryan made his way towards the Nurses' Quarters, wondering where he could ever find Lillian.
