Kennedy finally poked her head in.
"I was tryin' ta teach 'im my name," she said, still not altogether sounding like her feet were touching the ground. Bags were starting to form under Kennedy's eyes. Her arm was still very much sore.

Nevada took in Kennedy's appearance and felt bad--completely forgetting to feel jealous or awkward at what she had learned earlier.
