But Kennedy stalled.
"It's Sunday," she said, as if Tristan and Nevada would know the importance of this.

Nevada stared at Kennedy confused, 'do you have to go to church?' she asked slowly, still confused.

Tristan raised an eyebrow. "I'll recite the Our Father for you in latin, but we really gotta go." He said. Then he whistled and motioned for the door. "Let's go."

"You-You go, I'll catch up with you later," Kennedy plopped down on her old couch.

"Are you nuts? I ain't leaving you here, now let's go." Tristan was quickly getting annoyed and his temper was starting to rise. "What the hell is so special about Sunday!?"

Kennedy merely blinked at Tristan's anger.
"Grocery day," she said, pointing to her parents' closed door. "I need to get them food for the week." They never left the apartment. Kennedy couldn't remember the last time their pale skin was in direct, natural sunlight.

Nevada stared blankly at Kennedy, 'I'll wait outside,' she said to both of them. 'and you fucked her,' she whispered into his ear, chuckling and shaking her head as she walked towards the door

"Are you kidding me?" He asked. "Really? They're in there right now ignoring you! Ignoring the fact that you could have died and you're gonna buy them fucking groceries! Let them starve!"
((Yikes!)l

Kennedy finally flinched. She slowly met Tristan's eyes.
"They need me," she said softly.

Tristan sighed heavily. "What about what you need?" He asked her. "You don't deserve this, nobody deserves to be ignored by people who are supposed to love them and take care of them. Kennedy, I grew up that way and I'm all fucked up. So, do yourself a favor and come with us."

Kennedy shook her head. It was out of the question.
"They-They love me. I'm their kitten. You need Mikey. Mikey needs you. You and Nevada need each other. None of you need me. But they do."

"If you were really a kitten you'd die because they forgot to feed you and give you water." He said harshly. "Think about it." Tristan said before turning to go. "C'mon Nevada," he grabbed Nevada's hand.

Kennedy glared at Tristan and outright laid down on the couch. She angrily turned away from him.

'what the hell happened,' she asked as she looked up at Tristan.

"I don't her if she was really their kitten she'd die." He said as he walked out of the house with her, moving as quickly as he could toward the Duane street lodging house.
